A bit of Ancient wisdom, by Miyamoto Musasshi
Perceive that which cannot be seen with the eye.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Do nothing which is of no use.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
All things entail rising and falling timing. You must be able to discern this.

These are just a few I came across in his book": The book of Five Rings"

I learnt a difficult lesson recently.. from a book by Robert Greene, "The 48 Laws of Power"
[ I should never make myself seem wiser than my teacher ]
I paid that heavy price as a teen in university in Jamaica.
I had an idea that was out of the box, I got shot down and spoken to, by the Lecturer. '

This is my saying. I coined this one
" Learn in secret. and express your wisdom in unfamiliar ground."
The book is tiny, just some 50 pages in my native language. But note, this is a handbook for samurai, though he writes universal wisdom. Some say that progress of Japanese economy after the war was just the application of these principles to everyday life. Just think about something like 'one is for me like 10000 if he is the best'.
