Day 9 - Learn How to Build a Website Yourself in WordPress 2017
Hey there and a Big Welcome to Day 9 of Learn How to Build a Website Yourself in WordPress 2017 – it’s still all about Content!

So yesterday we covered about a quarter of Jays training on using SEO on our article as linked below:

To start off with, here’s a recap on what I did yesterday – Day 8:
- Coming up with keyword concepts
- Talked about getting your keyword in Google, ranked and the concept of finding other keywords you can rank for in that one post
- Creating your content AND an outline for your post with Header tags, images etc
- Creating a way to organise your content for each website build so it’s easy to find and access
Before we start on today’s task I wanted to let you know that in between these posts I’m constantly researching new keywords to write posts about.
Jay said to only post once or twice a week at the beginning but I’m making sure I’m well and truly prepared for when those days come up. I’m preparing everything in a Word document as I set out in yesterday’s post, so that I’m ready to post on my website.
Today has been crazy for me so this again is going to be short and sweet BUT no less important than our other posts.
We’re going to be talking JUST ABOUT …
Graphics, Photos, Images Etc
You’ll find plenty of training on WA as to where to get images and I wanted to point out some of that training:
First and foremost if you’re not sure how best to find and add images to your website here’s Kyles training on just that:

Jay notes that his favourite place to go for stock photos is:
Stock.adobe.com – this is a paid service where he can get all sorthe has a package where he gets 10 stock photos every month which ‘rolls over’ this means if you don’t use your stock photos it rolls over to the next month
This Post by another WA member is fantastic, I couldn’t have done a better job myself no matter how I tried, so I didn't and I'm just going to share the link!

You will see he covers his Top 23 FREE Stock Image Sites where you can find images for all sorts of different niches, the websites include places to find:
- Old vintage photos
- Architectural images
- Nature
- People
- Animals
- Food
- Videos
- Mockups and fonts
Well, the list could go on and on, so the best thing to do is to go and check it out for yourself.
What’s also interesting about his post is that he also tells you what type of licensing they require, whether you need to provide credit on your site etc,. This means you don’t have to go into the site yourself to find that out!
If you go through these sites and see which ones are best suited to your needs, create a list and links to those sites and you have your ‘go to’ places for images.
This is part of the ‘being organized’ and it’s being organized that will help you get through creating your posts quicker.

I'm just in the middle of creating the content for Day 10, I can't believe how quickly the days are passing, it just goes to show how far you can go by doing something towards your website every day, no matter how small it is.

Yes we're on Day 10 tomorrow, I can't believe how quickly the days are clocking up.
It just goes to show that you can build a website quite quickly if you keep at it every day - and we're not really actually doing that much each day either.

Oh my goodness Jacqueline, I've missed your first 8 days! I'll surely catch up with them. In the meantime, thanks for the many tips, especially regarding the pre-paid pic stock used by Jay, or the other blog by PJ. There's always so much going on here (but I am not complaining at all, in fact thank the Lord we have so much available) that it becomes inevitable that at times we end up missing on vital info.
