Check out those competitors
Today I am just going to share a quick tip with the community because I see a lot of people new to affiliate marketing or working online that don't do this.
What is the tip?
Well as you can probably tell from the cover image and the title it's about competitors.
CHECK OUT YOUR COMPETITORS!
Now let me dive in and tell you briefly what I am talking about...
What I am talking about exactly is after you have your niche and then break it into a sub-niche or specific niche within your broad niche for example if I go with the home security niche and then break that down in to a sub-niche which is home security system with an app for example there will be competitors for niches like this and many of them may be affiliate marketer websites.
In the image below you can see I looked up on google "do it yourself home security systems with an app".
The red arrows show some sites I looked at that are earning revenue from affiliate marketing.
HOW DO I KNOW THEY ARE USING AFFILIATE LINKS, POSSIBLE NICHE COMPETITORS?
I looked at the websites and clicked the links to investigate/research!
ALSO ANOTHER ONE:
So now that I know they are affiliate marketing I know they are competitors if I am in this niche. So I can look over their articles and content regarding this niche and see what they are doing and saying on their site to promote these products. This also shows me their content quality so that I can see the content they are using to be on Google Page 1.
So that being said don't be afraid to look at niche competitors sites and see what they have posted about the niche or what products they are promoting within the niche.
I see many people who don;t do this so then they ask questions like what is an example to share the products? What does my competition look like? Are other affiliate marketers in the niche?
This helps to answer some of those sort of questions and give you a point of reference for what someone on page 1 of google search page/website looks like.

Hi Jack thank you for sharing your insights, solid goal , slightly confused why more folks haven't engaged. I guess to much at the nuts and bolts end of marketing instead of the flash bang wallop.
Continually accessing, defining and modeling what our competion are doing can be one of the best ways to enhance our abilities to meet the market head on.
