Product Reviews - The Fastest Way To Make Money With Free Traffic

I know a lot of people, in fact, every single person who starts with affiliate marketing wants to make money as fast as possible. We don't like to wait. We want to get the results fast, fast, fast!
So today, I want to share a method that I personally consider to be the fastest way to make money online using free traffic from Search Engines.
It's called Product Reviews.
When I first started with affiliate marketing, I was attending another course (not WA) where I learned that writing (or recording) product reviews are the fastest way to organically grow an income online.
I started a site where I tried to promote joint health supplements to help folks out there who are experiencing joint pain and stiffness to get better and find the best medicine because I was one of them as well.
Believe it or not, I wrote about 25 posts on that site, which took me about 2 months to write. About 12-13 were "how-to" and educational posts. The second half was product reviews.
Can you guess which half appeared in search engines almost immediately?
Product reviews!
I wrote about 12-13 join help supplement reviews and half of them got indexed and ranked on freaking page 1 of Google! When I saw my review on position #5 on page 1, I thought "This is it! I'm rich! This thing works!"
So I stopped trying LOL Classic newbie mistake!
Naturally, all my rankings eventually went away because I stopped publishing. Partially, this was my fault. And partially it was the fault of the guy whose course I was attending. His course was focused on upsells and was very badly organized which got me very demotivated.
But I knew there's something in these product reviews.
I saw tons of sites that were doing them and were achieving super results. Moreover, it really seemed like a great idea for making money online.
A few months later, I joined Wealthy Affiliate and learned that there's so much more to writing blog posts and product reviews. In other words, WA opened my eyes and made me realize that this affiliate marketing thing is a business.
It's not a get-rich-quick scheme. It takes much more than 25 posts to make money.
However, based on my experience in the last 3 and a half years, product reviews are the best and the fastest way to make money with affiliate marketing using free traffic.
Why the best?
It's the best way because people who are looking for product reviews are already conditioned to buy. They are looking for a review to make a wise decision. But they've already made a decision to buy an X product.
You can fill in this demand easily and earn nice passive commissions for your service :)
Why the fastest?
It's the faster way because Google and other search engines rank reviews very fast.
See, reviews keywords don't have as much competition as the general type of content, which is why it is much easier to get fast rankings for those keywords!
So if you're looking to make money online fast using free traffic, I would suggest rolling up your sleeves and starting writing product reviews. I know for a fact that there are millions of products in your respected niche you can review and recommend to your visitors to earn an income.
But I don't know how to write product reviews, Ivan! How can I review a product if I don't buy it? Is it even legal to write reviews if you don't own a product?

Secondly, you don't have to buy a product to share your review. The whole point of writing reviews is to investigate the product using all the resources available online and share your opinion about it.
And it's a 100% legitimate method so no worries about breaking the rules. As long as you're honest in your reviews, you'll be fine. Don't lie in your reviews or try to falsify the information.
So once again, if you're looking to make money fast, start with product reviews!
Think about it.
I'm a person who is never going to buy a product these days before I read at least 2-3 reviews from respectable resources. And in 99% of the cases, one of those resources is going to earn a commission from my purchase because they've helped me to learn more about the product I was interested in.
It's a win-win scenario for all parties included.
And I'm more than sure you too can relate to this scenario as well :)
So where to find products you can review on your site?
Let's start with Google...
If you "google" your niche + affiliate programs, you'll get a list of awesome affiliate programs and products you can review and promote to earn commissions.
Then there's Amazon...
You can find a boatload of awesome products related to your niche all in one place called Amazon. Just type the name of your niche in the search bar and you'll get another list full of awesome products you can review and promote!
Another source is ClickBank...
You can find another boatload of products on ClickBank as well. All you have to do is search for them. I only recommend promoting products from CB that has a high Gravity score. This means they gravitate well on the market and sell very well.
Those are my three favorite resources for finding products.
You can also find a product on CJ Affiliate, ShareASale, Awin, eBay, Target, etc.
They are literally everywhere, which means you'll never run out of content ideas!
Just keep in mind that it takes a lot more than just a few reviews on your site to earn an income. Give yourself a goal to write at least 50 and see what's going to happen :)

Great informative blog.
However, I feel you left out a great resource for finding products. That's Amazon's newest major online competition and that's Walmart.
They too saw how fast Jeff Bezo's business grew and are prepared to give him a run for his money.
It should also offer plenty of opportunities for us affiliate marketers hunting for a better commission than what Amazon is now offering.

I do believe that their affiliate program will be world wide. If not, I don't know how else they could compete if they didn't provide the coverage that Amazon is now covering.
I know that Walmart has started accepting many applications for their affiliate program. I however will not get a chance to probe into what Walmart is offering until this weekend.

I am horrified whenever someone writes a product review without ever even seeing the product. It's either lying or a book report and sometimes it's both. And with medical products such as joint supplements, you are playing with people's lives. They are reading it, trusting you and you have no clue what you just wrote about. Meanwhile you are taking their money and they are getting worse.
The FTC came down pretty hard on this with diet supplements a few years ago. People were fined heavily; some went to prison. All deserved every bit of punishment they got. These fake reviews are a huge part of the reason why disclosure is now so intensely required on every post.
The FTC will be coming out with new guidelines this year. As an industry, we've encouraged them to pursue prosecution for people who post fake reviews. So, if you want to do something like this, just keep that in mind.
good point. The one thing to remember and avoid any fear is to avoid being misleading. That's it. So as long as the review is clear, concise, TRUE and it helps the consumer with a buying decision... then it's all good. :-)

Thanks for sharing that, but do keep in mind that what's discussed there is about consumers who may write a true but negative review of a product they've actually used. The information you shared is about the protections consumers with true but negatives reviews have from being hurt for sharing their opinion.
The reviews discussed here are designed to profit from the content. HUGE difference.
Ivan had affiliate links in his reviews. His goal was to make money, and he's using reviews of products he's never needed or experienced to do it.
NEVER confuse the two.
Hey Jeannine, thanks for sharing this info. It's critical to know that writing fake reviews will get you in trouble. When I was writing joint supplement reviews, I never crossed any lines.
I was simply providing the same information the manufacturer provided while taking care to do extensive research about the product, its ingredients, benefits, effects, etc., before writing a single letter.
Also, I had included a disclaimer on my site that I'm not a medical professional and that my opinion is just that, an opinion, and it should not be taken as medical advice.
I agree with you that people who write fake reviews should be more careful. Thanks again for sharing this info as it's an extremely important addition to this post.

i thought i could join WA as a free member. I was recently scammed back to back so i am not able to afford any membership plans. When i clicked on the link provided in this training it took me to the payment plan page.
I'm very happy to hear that you did extensive research before posting anything and included disclosures.
Sadly a lot of those "manufacturers" truly know nothing about it either. They can literally order these products made to their specifications from a company which produces white label versions. They just check off what they want included from a provided checklist, and the company makes tables with any name and any combination on them. It's one of the most disreputable niches online, along with diet supplements and a few other online health niches.
Were you ever able to see if the manufacturers had ever actually tested their products, say in a double blind study?
I've met many of these "manufacturers" at conferences and all they care about is money, not actually helping anyone.
Please, please, please do your homework on who you select to promote. Just because they are making a product available doesn't mean it actually works or is any good.

What do I put in the title of a product reviews, the full name of the company, model number, type etc.? Because I see when I try to take a full name on the product and I search for it in Jaaxy it sometimes doesn't come up as a keyword
