Hey guys,

I created a FB ad a few days ago. I created a landing page, lead magnet, and all other elements of a marketing funnel.

I got 80 clicks on my ad (sign up

Thanks for raising this question because I also experienced the same with a FB ad and Getresponse Landing Page.

Someone who is more knowledgeable is there to assist.

Will look out for an answer.

I would monitor my ad sets and change them according to my most viewed, so you start with a wider search, then study demographics views according to interests, narrow down your search to leverage your ads if that makes sense, till you find a sweet spot onto which you can scale.

With Facebook you can do various ad sets like engagement or conversions etc.

However, Partha and as usual covered it in more depth.

Hey Ivan,

It depends on which "clicks" metric you're looking at on Facebook.

They have "Clicks" which is basically any interaction with your ad. So, this can actually include likes, shares, comments, clicks to your Facebook page, profile photo, etc.

Then there's "Link Clicks", which can also include clicks on comments, to your Facebook profile, etc

The nearest metric to website visitors is "outbound clicks", which is basically when people have actually left Facebook (so to actually visit your site).

However, even then there is a chance that they didn't actually visit your website (there's a stat that claims 50% of Facebookers click the back button if the website page doesn't load within 3 seconds). Also people do accidentally click, especially when scrolling on mobile, and then immediately click back.

There is a way to create a Facebook Ads manager landing page views, but I'm afraid I can't remember exactly how to do it (I'll have a look for you, I know I'll have it in a file somewhere).

I know it involves using the dropdown menus in your ads Manager account.

Choose the "columns" dropdown menu and choose "performance" and then on then "breakdown" dropdown menu choose "placement and device"...

But, then I know there's one more thing you have to do after that, but I can't remember what it is, lol. Sorry mate.

I'll have a look through my files/notes, although it might take a while.

Partha

Gee... some weird happenings on FB.
Could be not everyone is clicking thru to Aweber, only the FB portion.

I've also heard some complaints about FB.
I ran a small ad recently, ever since then it seems as though my posts to groups is being sabotage in order to get me to keep running ads.
I've also heard of this happening before, now I understand.

Hope you get to the bottom of it.

Ivan, I am waiting on an answer too!

Hey guys, just a quick question.

I built a new site about two and a half weeks ago. I created a sitemap, submitted it to Google, etc. I've done everything as usual.

Hey Ivan,

Yep, you've done the right thing by checking directly in Google.

WA Site Manager has never been completely accurate.

In fact, I know members who "believed" that when they click the greyed out "G" in site content and it then turns into a coloured "G", and they then receive a WA indexing email, that they have literally "forced" their article to be indexed.

Not true, it was already indexed.

Furthermore, even GSC isn't always accurate and can actually provide conflicting information.

Look at the number of people who are experiencing "discovered not yet indexed" issues according to GSC.

They then set about panicking, doing everything they can think of, to get the article indexed.

However, if they did a simple Google check like yourself, more often than not the article IS actually already indexed, even though GSC says it isn't (okay admittedly, not always, but quite often)

Case in point, I published an article on Monday 14th February.

Much the same as your initial website, everything I publish now appears to get indexed immediately, and receive traffic from day one (good keyword research).

Plus, I seem to have been getting a LOT of Google Discover traffic for the last 2 months.

I received a WA indexing email for this article on Monday 21st February.

I checked GSC and it still showed as "discovered, not yet indexed".

However, since Monday 14th February until Monday 21st February the article received around 100+ visitors from Google Search Engine and around another 400+ visitors from Google Discover (which I can actually see within the GSC tab).

So, according to GSC the article is not indexed, plus according to WA Site Manager it was only indexed on Monday 21st February.

However, in the meantime while GSC and WA Site Manager are unsure about the article's index status, the article has received over 500 visitors FROM GOOGLE in that time.

Make sense?

Basically, the only 100% accurate check for indexing is to check for yourself (site:yourwebsitename(dot)com) in Google.

Hi Ivan,

I have the same glitch - Posts available and shown as indexed on Google yet little google symbol not changing too indexed - I assume you use Site:webpage as suggested below to review pages found on Google?

If they can be found with the proper outreach, comments, social media and links your page will be available for searching ( indexing)

It might also be an idea to review Google console for any potential problems but please note you can index a post with one page on your site ( this is from personnel experience with my current website). Problems may be that the post is marked as No Follow? Have you checked this?

remember comments and links from other sources eg socials speed up the indexing process .

Yes, I also use site:yourwebsite.com to check if indexed in Google,Yahoo, and Bing.

It does seem Google taking its time. Keep writing, request indexing if need too.

Sometimes shows in excluded under Coverage in GSC discovered not indexed. If this is the case test your url then request indexing. Upon doing this, I had 5 posts indexed overnight.

WA is y’all’s a day or few after alerting me.

Ivan,

I have stopped checking WA SiteContent for updates.
I go straight to Google.

At the moment, WA SC is showing that I have 6 posts from 4-5 months ago not yet indexed.
However, Google tells me they are all indexed.

There seems to be a lag on WA's end.

Cassi

Thanks for the update!

You are welcome, Ivan.

it's the same for me, my homepage and 6 posts have been indexed in Google but WA site manager says 0 indexed in google. My site is about 6 weeks old.

Just type site:nameofyoursite.com into google and you will see what exactly from your site has been indexed In google

Hey guys,

So I have two websites that are using the same premium theme, the same optimization plugins, the same setting inside the SiteManager (SiteSpeed), and are hoste

Could be an error or an outside factor.

I run it again and see what result I get.

I'll give it a day or two before contacting SiteSupport and digging deeper. Might come back to normal shortly.

Thanks!

Sure, kindly let us know how you get on.

Hey Ivan,

Depending on your content that too can work at slowing your site's loading time down.

Examples: one site has more embedded iframes than the other, images are larger or more of them on one site... etc.

PageSpeed test will give you details as to what is making your site slow. Have you clicked on the down arrows to see what is stated in your testing your site's speeds?

Hope you find this helpful

I understand that completely. I have clicked on the suggestions two months ago.

The thing is, two months ago, I fixed all errors and improved loading time dramatically.

I was testing my sales page mostly. It was blazing fast after all the changes.

In the meantime, I didn’t made any changes to it and today, I found out that mobile loading time went from 96 to 64 (at times it drops to 41).

Ahhh... okay... now I get it.

Time of day when testing can mean that the shared hosting is causing the slow mobile loading time.

To test my theory here... check your site at a different time of day... and check it TWICE.

I have seen my site's tests change drastically simply forcing the speed test to run a second time.

This is one of the major complaints when using shared hosting... but virtual hosting costs sooooooo much more as to make it not feasible until your site gains a LOT of traffic and brings in LOTS of money on a regular basis.

did you look into the rapport sometimes there is a solution in that like where the website is slowing down

Yes. It says that I have to reduce unused JavaScript. Did that a long time ago. The next critical error is slow server response time. I’ll see whether SiteSupport can offer some insights.

Thanks!

Most off the time the rapport offers a lot off insight I also use WP Rocket which helps a lot to improve the speed so perhaps that is option to lot for also

Not sure what is happening, may not be related but the teamsters of files on a small test site I use in SiteRubix is slow as molasses.

As site support, Ivan.

I am sorry it happens to you Ivan. Actually, it has happened to me about two times and mine is a huge text with links to pornography sites. I deleted the comments each time and forge ahead.

Hi! Ivan, It is annoying to receive comments that are not relevant. This kind of comments is a rubbish to our website so I choose to delete it. I will spend my credit to request for another comment. Just share my own experience.

That’s exactly what I do, but this is a special case. He just needs to be a bit more relevant to the post and I wish to communicate with him, but I can’t find his profile…

I've had the same problem Ivan.
I've never been able to track them either.

I don’t understand why. Aren’t they members too?

He is very active on my site and I appreciate the gesture. I just wanted to give him a few tips before disallowing his comments in the worst case scenario.

Yes, I don't understand that either Ivan. I thought that they would have to be members here to give comments. But even if I click on their Avatar it doesn't give me any more information.

Maybe Kyle or Carson can give you more information. I think that if people knew that you could contact them directly they would be more careful about what they put in comments. I know you don't want to rouse on him just give him a few suggestions.

WA Affiliate Program
Updated

I promote WA for two and a half years now and this year, my site has really taken off. Kudos to WA Affiliate Bootcamp training!

However, I'm having this issue that I sim

FYI, that's perfectly normal. There are peaks and valleys in traffic, peaks and valleys in conversions.

This time of year, families are focused on back-to-school and all the accompanying activities and demands. The holidays will also keep people busy, but get ready for all that happens once New Year's resolutions kick in.

I work for the Awin and ShareASale affiliate networks. We watch tens of thousands of merchant programs and hundreds of thousands of affiliates. We track hundreds of millions of transactions a year. Will you trust me to confirm that there are indeed busy times of high conversions and other times when things get quieter?

I also forgot to mention in USA and Canada and other countries are experiencing a tough medical crisis in the COVID-19 Delta variants, many young people are dying from it due to low vaccination rates. Hospitals are overwhelmed and full to capacity to care for COVID-19 Delta variant patients. My state of Oregon is overwhelmed. So take that into consideration. We are in a very bad Delta pandemic. I would not be too surprised if sign ups are less, they are dying. Only five percent are breakthrough cases, less than one percent of vaccination died. So keep that in mind.

Hi Ivan, sounds like it was the same issue you reported I think a month ago. There seems to be no rhyme or reason for the lack of getting sign-ups. It is easy to speculate on the reasons why or blame a system, namely a technical problem on the WA side. Carson is the right person you should be consulting with, he takes care of the technical side of this platform.

I did see you made some changes to your website. That's not the reason, you are getting traffic no problem but people aren't signing up. First, it might not be a traffic issue like you said. Second, it may be the WA system to check with Carson if there is any backlog of sign-ups. If it's not that then my third analogy will be that people (human psychology) are deciding not to sign up immediately for various reasons. Maybe they need more research or still checking it out. Have you updated your YouTube? I see it's been a while since you updated the video. There are many other social media you can do other than organic traffic.

The only thing I noticed is you do not have an email list- why is that? Jay uses email and email marketing works for people who are psychologically hesitant in signing up. Having continuous email contact is helpful. Some people may be thinking about it but the call to action must be convincing. I'm looking at the human psychology as a possible reason for the lack of sign ups

Three things I encourage you to try, update your YouTube, engage with your prospects through email marketing, get more social media attention and last maybe focus on modifying your call to action like set up a timer when the free sign up ends. There are many call to actions you can use I don't see that on your site, maybe I missed that, all I saw was the sign up capture page of WA.

I see your point. I don't want to run a YouTube channel anymore nor do I wish to include email marketing because Kyle and Carson have email sequences that go automatically to people who join WA via my referral links. I have tried email marketing, and my results were and are better without it.

I highly doubt that this anomaly has anything to do with my social channels, sales page, or call to action buttons/links on my site because those things are hardly ever changed. It has nothing to do with the traffic either because my traffic comes from the same posts day in and day out for months and months. If it were because of traffic, I wouldn't have any referrals or much less than I do have.

As you can read from my question, on most days, everything runs smoothly. I just can't explain these days when new referrals just stop coming (literally) for no apparent reason despite the fact that I still get traffic to my site like every other day, have the same bounce rate, same time on the site, and more or less the same number of clicks to WA links. I would have understood if my site was down, or affiliate links were not opening, or the WA platform was down. But it seems like all those things are working fine...

I get clicks on my links but no signups...that's the part I can't understand.

Anyways, thanks for your help and suggestions. I appreciate it A LOT!

Ok, hope that gets resolved. I get your point. Overanalyzing can get us further, I agree with your points. I agree that it is a mystery. You may be correct that must be something like a bug in the system or a quirk that needs fixing. Best wishes to you.

oh, just thought of one more thing did you analyze your exit rate? would that help you to find which page people are exiting from in Google Analytics (similar to the Bounce rate). I know the term are use interchangeably but I just learned there is a difference between the two from two different SEO gurus. I sure hope you can figure it out.

I have reached out to Carson to see if he can offer an answer or some insights.

Thanks again and best wishes to you too!

The exit rate is consistent with the number of raw clicks to my WA link. In other words, I have had 159 visits to my sales page (where my WA links are located) and 105 people have exited my site from that page. I've had about 60 clicks on my WA links, which fits the exit rate.

That's interesting, thanks for sharing. That can leave you feeling stumped, I get that.

Hey Ivan,
It looks as though you are doing a lot of things right.
Can I ask:
1. How many premium referrals do you have this year?
2. Why do you choose to not run a YouTube channel anymore?
3. Why do you say your results are better without email marketing?
If you say "I get clicks on my links but no signups...that's the part I can't understand."
Also you say that ordinarily "you get 25-30 new referrals per day."

It might be that people are running off to Google and YouTube and looking for Wealthy Affiliate Reviews, Niall features prominently on both, then there's Ippei, Eco Secretariat, Crajun and a few others.
So there will always be some leakage for those people. Which people can go to before or after the free signup.

Also what Dale said before about emphasising the premium membership is worth considering across your site. I notice your sales page buttons read as "100% Risk-Free. No Credit Card Required. Start Free." Which is true but I wonder if the Premium option could be mentioned here?

Otherwise the fluctuations you are experiencing in free signups does appear a bit odd.

I am not promoting WA but principles should be the same. You write "from time to time (at least once per week)". When exactly, which day? It is normal to have far less of everything on Friday night and also on Saturday in the time zone(s) from where most visitors come, this is probably not Croatia. You should be able to see these weekly oscillations.

"Everything functions perfectly except no one signs up for a free membership for half of the day!" I would expect this half of the day to be Friday night in the area where most of the traffic comes from.

Sometimes it happens on Sunday, sometimes on Friday, sometimes on Thursday. There's no specific day when this problem is happening.

I do have drops in more or less every category on weekends, which is perfectly understandable since it's summer and people are out and about.

Most of my traffic comes from the US, the UK, and Canada.

I do understand that "It is normal to have far less of everything on Friday night and also on Saturday in the time zone(s) from where most visitors come". But I don't understand even though I have had significant traffic flow to my site for the last 15 hours, I haven't had a SINGLE referral.

If I have had only 50% fewer referrals than usually on these weekend days, I wouldn't say anything because that is REASONABLE.

But do you understand that 100's of people (400 to be exact) have passed through my site over the last 15 hours and not a single soul has opened WA FREE STARTER ACCOUNT?

For such a successful site, this what you write in the last paragraph looks very suspicious, it is easy to agree with that.

It does not help, but I can tell you that sometimes I have close to 200/day clicks from Walmart and no sale. I am not able to explain this. Are they cheating? I shall never know. I have the same type of click buttons for Amazon and other places and they work normal. Perhaps shipping is not great or price is higher at Walmart. But your case is always the same product and such anomalies are not normal.

I understand your example, and I can see your point. But my case here is different.

I'm basing my observations on data from the last three months. This is indeed an anomaly and I have no explanation for it...

Thanks for your help! And all the best.

I think I have the same problem but I really don't know what's happening. I thought just like you, that something is up to the WA system but probably not. I'm out of idea what could provoke that.. With me, it can pass all day until I get a referral although earlier I was getting up to 10 referrals per day...

In my case, it’s alright for days, sometimes even weeks without any problems in this area. Then, out of the blue sky, referrals stop coming completely like today, for example. It’s been 15 hours since the last successful invitation. It’s strange that out of 400 visitors in the last 15 hours, not a single one accepted my invitation…

I even asked Kyle via PM but he didn’t reply. Since my site is working fine, I can’t help but think that something might not be right with the WA’s side of the process…

Well, I would be happy to hear Kyle answer or advice on that.

WA Affiliate Program
