Hi!

I've got a siterubix free website that is performing quite well and in little time has gained a 45.86 domain authority, and their pages are really highly indexed desp

Hey guys! Any ideas on this topic?
Do rankings and domain authority change when switching from a siterubix domain to one of your own which has a diferent name? ;)

If you transfer your stuff from the siterubix to your own .com you can move all your stuff to the new site. The only thing that will change is your title. You do however have to make sure you do the 301 redirects for each page you move to the new domain. I did that. I closed out one site and moved everything over. It took some time, but it was well worth it in the end. Especially if you are going with your brand domain name.

Hey, thanks for replying.
And when you did that with your site, did the changes affect your ranking and domain authority or as long as you do the redirects, everything stays the same in the eye a of Google?

Hi! What do you do to find what the Domain Authority is?

If you type "domain authority checker" on Google you get many places where you can check it.

You just write down your domain there and get a number between 0 and 100, the higher the number, the higher your domain authority is, and that's one of the many features Google uses to determine how your pages rank.

The higher the domain authority your site has, the more quality and confidence the Google algorythms perceive.

Good Question, Israel. Let's hear what they have to say.

It's been a couple of months since I've been an Amazon Affiliate, in .es, .com and .uk programs.

And all of a sudden I get this message for my wife's site which has just

They are the king and well sought after. Unfortunately that devolves often to pickiness!

Yeah, it surely does, Mike...

Although I'm not with Amazon, I didn't bother I've heard too many things about them, this goes with any affiliate program I'm guessing rule wise.

It does make sense in one of the comments not to use 'their' name or use $$ amounts.

Thanks for posting.

I'm always learning something new every day :)

Yeah, Patsy, it does make sense.

I just thought that it would be great that they told you and gave you like a week notice to go check it and change it, before they just remove you from the program and you need to apply again and change all the affiliate links you already used.

Thanks for commenting ;)
Cheers!
Israel.

I agree! They should point these out instead of giving you the boot.

It's terrible having to change all the affiliate links.
I wouldn't re- apply.

Most don't know how they are, but things eventually come out.

There are plenty of affiliate programs and networks to choose from that treat people properly, and I'm not talking just about blindsiding people as yourself.

eBay is just as bad, too big and not worth the trouble.

You're right Patsy, it's usually the bigger companies the ones who treat their customers and partners worse, when they actually should have to take care of them.

I'll check other programs as well.

Thanks for your advice! ;)

You are welcome, and it's exactly as you said. Bad treatment.

I found this Affiliate Network, they have merchants for everything. All you do is sign up and you don't have to do crazy things like verifying your website, add codes to the header or a page, wait forever etc..You know the next day, not a month later and it's easy to navigate. I have no experience with these things so it's great.

The program I chose 'custom' designed my banner because when I clicked on the one they had to test it and see where it goes, it ended up on their website with all the different choices.

I told them I state on my website that 'I' do the shopping for the customer and expected the banner to go right to my niche, not to the website where they have to click 3 different areas to get to it. It would turn them off from the start to not see the niche in front of them ready to go and they would leave. This way, they can still navigate the rest of the website and shop also. If they buy other things we get the credit :)

Then I added another line and found another merchant with excellent products!

It depends on your niche for whichever one you choose, but remember that not all categories are shown. I thought this place didn't have my niche but they did.

It' called ShareASale, here is the link in case it has your niche:

https://account.shareasale.com/newsignup.cfm

We aren't suppose to leave our website URL in blog posts, not sure about specific page URLs, but I could leave you both pages where my banners are and you'll see how great they are :)

Don't feel to bad brother, the same happened to me as my 3rd attempt.... This time I thought I had right.. not even 30 days and I got 4 sales, 1 shipped, and nearly $10 in comm but then bam.. I got the letter. I'm not sure what happened but that's why I'm here now.. perhaps, proper training is in order and you can't beat the community of helpers here. Let's Do This!

Yeah billy, that sucks! But we're not giving up!

Thanks man!
Israel.

I can't speak Spanish, but from the article on the Kindle, you have listed the price of the product ($119.99). This will get you banned unless it is being updated every 24 hours via their API. The reason is prices change all the time and if you are falsely advertising the wrong price, that is considered false advertisement. I never advertise a price for this reason.

As for the trademarks, logos etc??? That has got me stumped as the domain has nothing to do with Amazon. I would email them and ask for reasons, but make sure you remove the prices first. Google the Amazon trademarked words: and you will find the amazon page for it. I cant paste the link here.....

The price! Yeah, that totally makes sense, Josh! :(
I'll keep that in mind. I'm going to make some changes and apply again.
Thanks so much for the info!
Cheers
Israel.

Don't give up tho. Just fix the issues and re-apply. I got kicked out once and it was a very costly lesson. But since then I have studied the rules as much as possible :)

Giving up? Never! ;)
Yeah, I'll have to take another look to the rules and keep them in mind... they are so sensitive these guys... They just kick you out, and then vaguely explain why.
Thanks man! ;)

Kindle Paperwhite in Spanish, i found that you use word "Amazon" in the tags, keywords which is not allowed thats why they remove you from their affiliate programs
When i translate your site in English the tag is "Amazon self" which is not ok to use.

Remember not to use trademarks, logos, words or mis spellings for SE0 purpose in any affiliate programs.

Hope you understand.

That makes sense, thanks a lot! I didn't realize it.
Man, would it be so difficult to just give a warning and saying what's wrong instead of removing me right away from the program?
When you start you're obviously going to do something wrong at some point...

Hi there!

Maybe someone already covered this topic, but I wasn't able to find a specific answer on that using the search at WA.

I was wondering, when you're looking

Hey Israel,

I search and search and search until I can find no more keywords. Once I have a list of long tail keywords with under 200 QSR and over 0 QSR (of course!), and sometimes I end up with more than 5 ... I begin writing my post, crossing off each of the keywords as I have been able to use them naturally. That's what works for me.

That sounds good, Trish.

It makes sense, low competition, but for several keywords at the sime time, using them naturally flowinw in the article.

Thanks a lot for your comment!
Israel.

For short answer ... Search < 150, QSR < 50
more search more competitive

It can’t check with search in google.
Rather than focusing on one or two trophy phase.
You should use long term and long phase that bring people to a website.
By looking at the big picture
The holistic view of the value of your product
that gives to the audience.
Adjust a little better for these phrases that already rank.
And find out the conversion rate of them.

I totally get what you mean Nattawut, long haul perspective!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.

You are trying to rank for as many keywords or low hanging fruit as you can. You want to spread yourself, but not paper thin, got it.

Go it, Samuel! Thanks! ;)

Shensky always has good ideas and solutions...

Yeah, you're right Arthur ;)

if both fit what you're writing about maybe use both

Yeah, actually that's what I'm planning to do.

I just needed to decide which one was going to be the title, and which one would be the secondary ;)

Thanks for commenting, Davida.
Cheers!
Israel.

True competition is without quotes and it can be hundreds times bigger. You can have qsr=0 and still not get ranked. Can give you many examples of my own.

Go to Google and see what it gives you without quotes, for the two cases. See how big players you have in the page 1 for each of them, and then decide.

Whatever you do, there is no guarantee for a good ranking. But you have to do your best and try.

Personally, I would use the second, and then add the first one in the tags, and if appropriate use it also in the text, in the image file name and elsewhere. There are many places where you can use them both.

That's very helpful advice, Jovo.

You're totally right about the "without quotes" competition, and the big players. I'm absolutely gonna have that in mind!

And, sure, I was planning on using a couple of secondary keywords in then text and pictures, as well.

I appreciate the feeback! Very helpful. I'll do my best then ;)

Thanks a lot!
Israel.

QSR under 100 is great - personally I'd choose the first one if you have enough authority in Google but I may be wrong about the right choice here :)

Actually, I have zero authority on that field today lol.

I'm just getting started on the niche, so I guess the best idea now will be compete with less people to make myself visible first ;)

Thanks for the feedback, Karina!
Israel.

Without knowing any further details, I would go for #2 provided the keyword makes sense and is complete. 50 QSR is still a little high in my opinion.

Are both keywords meaning the same thing?

Yeah, that is what I thought, Josh. Maybe it makes more sense to compete with less sites, at least at first.

The difference between the keywords is just a couple of prepositions, but same meaning in the end.

I guess I'll stick with the "low hanging fruit" ;)

Thanks my friend!
Israel.

Kyle gave the suggestion to make it easier for beginners. But if you think you have advanced tactics to beat the competition, you could take the plunge!

That makes sense!

Thank you Gautam!
Israel.

Hi there!

My wife and I have created a website for her.

She is a writer and, apart from giving advice to other writers regarding the writing process and the self

Good news!

I case somebody has the same question, I mailed Amazon about this and they told me that I could actually place affiliate links on my web which led to my own products on Amazon.

So, no problem with that!

Cheers everyone!
Israel.

Hey Israel,

Personally, I would contact Amazon directly as to their rules, rather than asking others. In this way you will be less likely to do something wrong causing you issues.

You're absolutely right Trish.

I just thought that maybe somedoby here found themselves in the same situation sometime ;)

I'm planning to contact them to be 100% sure.

Thanks for answering Trish.
Cheers!
Israel.

I would of it thought it doesn't matter as a book sale & an affiliate reward are seperate entities and if I had your wifes book on my website as an affiliate I get the reward she gets the sale, whats the differance!

So, as the sales from the Amazon products and the affiliate sales follow different paths, then it shouldn't be a problem that one person promotes with an affiliate link a product of her own in Amazon?

Sounds good to me ;)

Thanks a lot for answering Richy!
Israel.

I know that amazon won't pay out if you use one of your affiliate links to buy something yourself, in other words effectively giving yourself a discount on something, but in this case other people are using your link to buy an amazon product which is her book. I don't see a penalty here.

Yeah! That's what I thought, but I just wanted to make sure it wasn't considered taking double advantage by Amazon since you're making money on the same product twice.

But I see your point! Good then! :)

Thank you very much Eric!
Israel.

Well they're making money off you right back, know what I mean? :) it's just my opinion though cuz I haven't done it myself with some product I own but I wouldn't see anything wrong with that.

Yeah, right? I'm actually making money form them in both ways, so I don't see how it should be a problem... Maybe I'm just bothering for nothing ;)
Thanks Eric!
