From the start, I have written training for every issue I had problems with myself. I also made a list of 1001 niche ideas, a checklist with 25 points to go through before you publish a post, 101 blogging ideas when you get stuck and an A-Z WA dictionary. Niche selection can be tough at times, it's also good to know that you are not bound by just 1 niche. There are literally millions of niches, some are more profitable then others. My first 2 niches were too broad and failed miserably, but once I learned to narrow down niches, is when I started to get traction.
I find this training also helpful: What is a Niche - Making Money in Niche Marketing By helping your visitors you will be rewarded for your efforts. But in order to make affiliate commissions there must be products you can recommend/advertise in your niche. As I typically promote Amazon products, I find there are products to recommend for just about any niche. So if you can help someone in your niche (helping can be as simple as recommending the best products for...) and there are products to recommend and your niche is not too broad. Then it's a winner.

Actually I'm at that point of choosing my niche, . I'm thinking on going towards the "travel" option and all the online streams it involves.
I think it's a growing market and it's pretty much my passion, so I guess that could be a good choice to build a succesful online project.

What aspect of the travel niche do you want to help people with? There are literally 1,000's of niches within these categories and you will want to narrow it down. Where specifically? What type of travel? What aspect of travel?
When deciding on a niche and trying to narrow down to a more specific niche, I recommend you ask yourself the following question:
I want to help people that ______________.
Fill in the blank and you are going to be much closer to a specific audience. After you do this and if you want to run any further ideas by me, let me know and I will give you a hand. :)

I know you'd say that! "Travel" is too wide, right? I was thinking of narrowing it down to maybe "Travel in couples", and specifically people who like roadtripping. And I want to help them prepare and enjoy their trip.
That's a thing I really love to do and I guess I could help other people make the most of their travels.

I'm thinking road-trip travel for couples. People who want to see everything and not just one location. No organized tours, no rush, just enjoy the trip.

I'm from Spain, but I've been road-tripping a lot through UK over the last 3 years (just vacation though), and I think maybe my experiences would be helpful to others. Do you think that I should focus on just one country?
On the other hand, I'm kind of hesitating about which language should I make the blog in. I speak english and spanish, and maybe I can do both (two websites)... or am I stepping ahead too quickly on that?

I would start off by focusing on one country, when you feel that you have tapped that out, you can definitely diversify into others. Choose a domain that is brandable and not country specific that way you will be able diversify in many directions.
When you choose a domain, you are going to want to choose something that is "brandable" versus something that has keywords within it. The reason this is the case is because as you build out your website, you can target as many keywords as you like within the content (that is how you will rank).
