There's no required timeline. Some of your capabilities will disappear after your 7 day grace period, but after that you can always upgrade to Premium if you are interested in moving forward. Otherwise it is move at your own pace.
That being said, if you are serious about using this as a way to make money be sure to dedicate some time every week and set attainable goals. Otherwise you'll likely not move forward.
