Uninspired

I need inspiration. I think I am just in a slump, but I am very discouraged. It has been exactly 1 year since I joined WA and I still only get about an average of 5 people a day to my site. I am trying, I really am. I have a tough time writing in general so that adds to my frustration.

This is not meant to discourage other people but I really don’t know what to do.

I have made a few dollars but nothing to write home about.

To clarify I am not quitting or anything like that. In fact, I renewed early.

I just feel like I need more personal help but I can’t afford another program or coach.

No the person I signed up under is not my coach. In fact, I am not sure he even exists.

Chat members have been helpful but I feel like I have exhausted that avenue.

I have a really tough time finding keywords especially low fruit ones. Yes, I use google and Jaaxy. Yes I use alphabet soup and all the other tricks that I have learned, but apparently it is not working. Maybe I am just not working.

I reached out to Kyle but it seems our convo got lost among the other voices asking for help. I understand. He is a busy dude.

Update: Kyle did respond I just never saw the notification.

I just don’t know what to do.

I use social media to advertise but very few people come to my site through these links.

I am not sure if anyone can or will help but this is me trying to reach out!

Hi Brianna
Staying motivated is a challenge at times. I recently published a couple of posts that you might find useful: Wishing you and yours the very best.
:-)
Richard

Thanks! I will give those a read!

Hi Brianna, I can totally relate to you. It is hard for me to find things to write about, especially when it comes to blogging here. I find sharing my site via social media does help me increase my traffic and I try to keep writing articles for my site. The more I post on my site the more traffic I get.

All the best,

Michael

Thank you Michael!

Coming from the perspective of someone else who finds this a bit of a struggle, you say you have made a few dollars, then can you do more of what works?
Can you identify what you did better on the pages of content that achieved those dollars?
Maybe it was random, from an ad, so harder to nail down.
If it was through an affiliate link, compare that page to other less successful pages, and see what made the difference.
Are all the pages indexed?
Is your niche too broad for your searchers?

More on the question of inspiration, which you started with, try listening to great podcasts around your business. You can do this whilst doing the household chores, or on a treadmill, without setting aside extra time especially.

I frequently listen to Niche Pursuits (Spencer Haws), The Blogging Millionaire (Brandon Gaille), and also, to hear absolutely inspiring, amazing interviews with entrepreneurs/world travellers, The Maverick Show (Matt Bowles).

I wish you luck, and success.

Will do! Thank you for your suggestions.

Hi Brianna sorry to hear you're having a bit of a wobble!! I'm just a beginner on WA but I've been in business for nearly 40 years and have had many ups and downs throughout my career days, weeks even when I couldn't beg a sale but also days when everything I touched turned to gold, the trick is finding the inner strength to handle the low moments, my advice, for what its worth, take a breath, step back , give yourself a few days off, enjoy the weekend and start fresh Monday, your site isn't a failure, you've had some success, don't panic and don't lose heart.

The support I've found on this platform is as good as anything I've encountered elsewhere and I think the mentors genuinely want everyone to succeed, reach out to Kyle again, yes he's busy but I get the impression he wants to help all his clients.

Its tough but if it was easy everyone would do it, times like this are where you have to dig deep, trust the training and keep making little changes, life has a funny way of throwing you a bone just when you think it has given up on you. Review what and how your marketing the business, look for new opportunities, and renew the enthusiasm that drove you to start the whole process a year ago, be daring, or controversial with a post, if your market is global what "special days" are coming up in other parts of the world, the next "biggie" in your niche in the UK is fathers day, but people will be looking for inspiration daily, wedding anniversary ideas, birthdays etc.

I'm sure you'll find the inspiration you're looking for, and the success will grow, stay positive, it will work out.

Inspiring! Thank you!

Have you edited each page for the new AIO SEO? The focus keyword, meta title, meta tags, meta descriptions, and adding your keyword in image alt attributes?

I'm in the midst of going through every page and post on my sites.

I'm about halfway through my content so far and I've raised most from much lower scores to the mid-'90s in the green.

Also, I'm using the free Grammarly browser extension which has helped improve my page ranking as well.

I try to get my score in the mid to high 90's with AIO SEO. I was actually surprised by how many mistakes I had been making in my content.

The reason why I've mentioned all of this is that I was somewhat down, but when I saw my page scores improving it brought my inspiration back to me.

My plan is to go with the pro version of Grammarly very soon.

I'm thinking of going pro with AIO SEO, but that's a big maybe.

I actually use Rank Math but its the same principle. Yes I do make sure to have good scores. But I thank you for your reply!
