A Foodies WA Experience
Hello everyone,
Well my head is absolutely spinning and my mind is about ready to explode! I am just completing Course 2 in the Certification series and the learning has been intense. I can't say that I 100% understand everything but I am moving forward 😉
My journey...
Let me just begin with what led me on this incredible journey. I simply just love food, eating it, shopping for it and my biggest passion cooking it! For years now I have really wanted to make my passion my job and I have had several,very successful ventures along this path, I have had my own coffee shop in Sydney, as well as a catering business in Chania, Crete. However, both these businesses have been exhausting long hours and hard work.
For the past few years I have been trying to figure out a way to convert my passion and my experience with food into an online business. I have tried countless different ways of doing this with absolutely no success, but with a poorer bank balance.
My WA Experience...
I eventually stumbled across Wealthy Affiliate and was incredibly impressed by the plethora of information and training available. Not to mention the incredibly supportive community here. Finally something, somewhere that I could understand and could possibly lead me to what I wanted to achieve.
Progress...
So far I have completed Certification Course 1 and 2 and have set up my site - http://saladswithanastasia.com. I have created recipe posts for the salad recipes I have created with photos as well as recipes to family favourites. I have created affiliate marketing partnerships with eBay and Amazon (though can't say I have been successful in creating product links for these).
- Do I understand everything - no
- Am I doing everything right - probably not
- Is everything working as it should - I don't think so
But I am following along the WA bouncing ball in the hope that it will bounce me into a successful online business around food. I am slowly going through the lessons course by course and completing all the tasks associated with them.
Forging ahead...
In the next three months I hope to have complete Certification Courses 3 and 4 as well as the associated tasks, completed product review and salad book review pages for my site. Understand how to monetise my site and get my Amazon and eBay affiliate links to work without getting too many more grey hairs!
In the next six months I am aiming to complete Certification Course 5 and be able to include videos on my site, create a mailing list page on my site, create a pdf of my recipes. Create a professional Facebook page for my site. Hopefully, hopefully make my first sales.
Finally...
This has been an incredible learning experience and even though I can't see myself making a lot of money doing this but it has been an interesting journey.
