I am trying to find out more about this: how things are nowadays? Is it worth to do something about it and if yes, what can I do?
Thank you all for your help. You are gre
Yes, what you need to do is contribute to websites that have high ranking and authority so that they will link back to your site. This not only gives you a backlink but adds to your website's authority. Not easy to do but this is what the experts I read have written as the best process.
Hi Steven,
Thank you so much for your answer. I will start looking for authority sites in my niche and I will start commenting and getting involved in the discussion.
It is good to know what the right step it is.
I wish you a great day,
Ina:)
I agree with Dale. You'll build better credibility if you let them use the chosen door instead of a 'hidden' back door.
Candice
Hi Candice,
Yes, from the answers I get and from what I read before, it looks like this is the right way to do it.
Thank you for your help. I wish you a great day,
Ina:)
You don't want to create backlinks that aren't natural. Google will flag them as spammy and it may get your URL blocked on Google. Quality content as Dale said, and if you can find guest blogging opportunities, you can sometimes ask to include your link in the blog.
Hi Michael,
Thank you for your answer! I will be careful with it and it is good to know that not all backlinks are good backlinks. Guest blogging is something that I will add to my list.
Thank you for your help and I wish you a great day,
Ina:)
Natural is the best way to do it - create quality content, share it as best as you can & let people link back to your site by choice :)
Hi Dale,
Thank you so much for your help!
I will go all natural (this is also how my lifestyle is...it is funny how same things apply to the internet too).
I wish you a great day and keep in touch,
Ina:)

Hi! I am new at WA. I recently chose my niche but now I have second thoughts. My idea is to help people to make that first step. Too many of us delay doing things they want to
Hi Inaeliza,
Nice idea. But as you say, a little bit wide. The trouble you'll have is ranking your website's pages for several different topics - Google likes consistency and if the bots spy anything too generic or un-related, it won't rank you well for certain keywords or phrases!
Could you not have multiple sites? So, one for (to use your example), Yoga, another for swimming perhaps, another for horse riding, etc, etc. Then, where the topics crossover, you could link to the relevant pages of your other sites - so a 'people who liked yoga, also liked gyms' for example, and you'd point that link to your Gym site. That's just a random example off the top of my head - you get what I mean :-). Not only will that approach maintain content relevance, but also provide all of your sites with external links to your other sites (a mini link network - another SEO plus :-). I think that would be my approach. Perhaps your websites could hold a common brand theme... so for example: www.all-you-need-to-know-about-XXX.com (replace XXX with yoga, swimming, horseriding, etc) - this would obviously be driven by your keywords research to see what people actually search for. Just an idea.
I hope that helps?
Sean

Is it better the niche to be more narrowed ?
