I think it's really dump for google to mark your own content as being duplicate. I have never seen any one being penalized for duplicate contents. If you had your existing website with your contents and make another website with the same exact contents, then Google might give you the red eye. It will devalue your contents in the search engine rankings. That's all.
But if you delete your old website with it's contents and have all your original contents on a new website, then there should be no issue. It is recommended that you wait a few weeks to transfer or paste old contents on the new website.
There may be a way to prove that you are the original writer of your content. If you need more info on this, you may click on this link below. All the best!

It's better to transfer your previous site to the new one. This way you don't lose any content.

Wonderful question. Thank you for asking as I will be interested in seeing the answers.

Hey Idris,

Next time you might find it easier to simply MOVE your content from one site to another. Here's how: As long as the content is only EVER on ONE website, Google will be a happy camper. Do make sure to provide a redirect from the original website to the new website so not to upset Google: Hope you find this helpful.

The simple answer is yes ... but ... it's not a good idea ... Google will still see it as duplicate content. It would be better to re-write.

I'm planning to start a YouTube channel.

I'm just wondering would the duration of the video affect revenue or reach of the video? Does YouTube prefer longer videos or du

First, it is recommended to shoot a vlogo to introduce what your channel does. For example, you can search for the keyword: Ayun net things on YouTube, this is my channel. It's not very good at the moment, I just started to make youtube.
Second, each video is recommended to be at least 5 minutes, because when you have 1,000 subscriptions and 4000 hours of viewing time, you can apply for profit, that is, you can apply for Adsense for profit.
Third, long videos can increase viewing time.

What application did you use to create your vlogo?

I am learning how to create a vlogo and maybe outsource it.

I have found generally across all niches that keeping them under three minutes is really important. If you look at your stats you will still find a lot of people who don't wait to the end of the video even if it's only a minute long. People's attention span is very very short

Maybe later when your channel is optimised you will have more followers who will watch for longer but to start with I would definitely say less than three minutes and probably less than two.

Also keep an eye on your stats they will tell you at what point someone has left your video. If they are leaving before the end either your videos are too long or they are not relevant to your audience

That's what I thought. I myself don't stay for long on a video unless it really interests me.

Hey Idris,
I think the best way to look at your video creation is to provide valuable information your audience can use. Don't worry about how long it takes to make the video, just get the message across and help people. The longer they stay on YouTube and your channel, the better for you. I hope this helps

Best regards,
Jefrey M.

Thanks Jeffrey!

No problem my friend, anytime!

Hi can't remember exactly what the research on this says but it was a little under three minutes being the optimal I think. Much depends on the niche.
Steve

Depends on your clientele and topics. In debth informatinals could be upwards of 5minutes if not more. Attention span and the possibility of incorporating ads will have some affect on length. The best advice just push record you'll know when it's enough best of luck.

DT

Thanks for the input DT!

No problem. Please post a link to your channel when complete. I'd love to check it out.

Hi Idris,

It's good to ask for people's opinion on issues bothering you or when you get stuck, but at the end of the day, it's the business model that you have chosen to adopt, that will be important in deciding.

I personally do not go adsense way at all because, I see their ads as a pain most times. they get in your way.

My website is quite young and I am building on good content for my niche. I do not want to start annoying my visitors with ads yet. My approach is to hand pick ads from my affiliate merchants, when the time comes.

I hope this helps.

Segun

Yeah thats the thing! Most people see their ads as a pain, same goes for myself.

Thanks for your input! To our success!

Idris

This just my opinion, and from my experience. I do the same thing, I don't click on any ads either. The ads bother me too, and I don't; like when they get in my way.

Anyhow, I tried Google Adsense but, was denied like 5 times...lol

So, I recently re-applied and now they have me in a long waiting approval. So, maybe they are considering my approval now. Who knows...I'm starting to think this is a sign for me to leave Google Adsense alone...lol..

Anyhow, Google Adsense denied me. So I went to media.net.

I've been getting about 1500 visitors a day to my site and placed ads on the pages that the people visit, and I ended up surprised....really surprised...lol.

Now, I'm wondering how people are earning so much money with these ads because I didn't see anything but $1.00...haha

I ended up with 15k visitors for the week and earned a total of $8.59 cents....haha...I don't know maybe I'm missing something, or need to learn more about ad placement...

So, now, I am starting to think ads are a waste of time.

I earned more cents with Swagbucks than I did with ads...matter of fact, I made quadruple money with SB..than I did with ads...

I did a tester. I placed SB and media.net on the same page. I made $29.00 with SB and $8.59 with media.net ads. So, in my opinion, I can make more money by placing the affiliate ads on the site.

Plus, the affiliate ads sometimes, appearance is more attractive than the ads itself to me.

If Google Adsense, works the same way, then I don't know if it would make sense for me at least....lol...

Thanks for sharing you experience!

With 15k visitors a week, you only got a few dollars from Adsense?? Maybe its not worth a spot on my 'less than 50 visitors a week' website. 😅

Maybe keeping my site clean of ads now would be a good idea to stop people from leaving, and when I have good traffic then I can consider Adsense or other ads.

Thanks again for you input!

Idris

I know I was shocked too. I thought I would at least get $50 or $100..haha..but, nope that isn't what happened.

I agree I would wait a bit and until your traffic increases some more and then decide what route you want to take.

I think you can choose the place where you want your ads.
So since you got approved, why dont you just try it with one and see if it brings you any results?

I've removed AdSense from my site as well. I do have plenty of ads on it, but only ads that I hand picked from my affiliate merchants. And in spots where I don't mind ads.

I've written a blog about it a few months ago. If you like to know why I did what I did, you can check it out here:

Great blog post!

Yeah I'm actually inclined towards not putting Adsense for now too.

Idris

Thanks, I'm glad you found it helpful :-)

I've already checked with some of the videos and trainings that the awesome people here have posted, but I stil can't claim my website in Pinterest.

are you adding just the long number/code into the all in one or the whole lot.
it is only the long number.
if you click on the ? at the front you will be able to get to the all in one help on adding the code.
good luck.
phil

the all in one way is preferable as anything added to your theme, unless you make a child theme, will be removed when your theme is updated.

You mean just those numbers that I highlighted?

Ahhh it is those numbers! My mistake was to copy the whole thing. Thank you!!

Aaaaaand its claimed already! That was fast!

See My Pic

But that's the problem, I can't find that <head> in the current template that I'm using

All Themes have a Theme Editor

Just click on Appearances then Theme Editor

What theme are you using?

I figured it out already using the ALL-in-one SEO instead.. Thanks anyways for your input! Appreciate it! 😊

okey dokey glad you got it sorted.
Enjoy the rest of your Monday.

I got an email twice on getting indexed on Google. However, my website does not have any post yet. I have only filled up the 'About Me' section. How come i still got indexed?</

Wow it's been a year. Looking back, I realized a LOT of us asked this in the beginning. 😅

That is how I got indexed by Google was through my about me page. So I just took it and ran with it.

If your website is accessible on the internet then it can get indexed. Even if all that's there are the sample post and page.

Same thing happened to me with one of my sites. I figured, might as well take it. XD Maybe it's not so much about posts, just any content of any kind can potentially get the site indexed.

Yeah man not that I'm complaining or anything.. Lol.. but just wondering that with no content and only having an about me page,, i guess our website can still get indexed
