Spike in Instagram followers!

Hey everyone, just wanna share about my Instagram journey, username: stillfigurineout. If you follow me, do DM in Instagram me that you're from WA and I'll follow back =)

Slow start

I created my Instagram account in Feb 2018. I started out slow and didn't post much because I wasn't into it that much. I posted only once or twice a week, and sometimes missed a week or two before posting again. Starting early 2019, I started to be more consistent in posting.

It really took a while, but I finally hit 1k followers in November. That's when things start to pick up real fast. I started to post even more consistently (not everyday, but 4-5 times a week at least), and to my surprise, my number of followers spiked.

3000 followers!

After taking more than a year to get 1k followers, I gained another 1k followers each in Dec and Jan! As of this blog post, I've just hit 3.2k followers.

I'm really excited as its all organic; I didn't 'buy' any followers, or follow random people in hope they would follow me back.

I decided to google how to increase Instagram followers earlier this year (yeah I don't know why I didn't do that earlier), and realized I've been doing the right things unknowingly.

What's next?

One of the downside of Instagram is that you can't put links anywhere except for one link at your profile. Now that I have more followers, I need to put more focus on directing traffic from my Instagram account to my site.
