For you long timers, is there a quick checklist that you know of for putting together your a website after you've already completed the training? I find it cumbersome to keep goin
I understand your desire for a list. For me I don't seem to remember things like I did when younger. By keeping with the training I pick up things I missed. As I start each site, I treat it like it was my first here on WA allowing Kyle to take me through each one as is my first and pick up new information I missed.
Hi bsmith, yes, I feel the same way!hehehe I think I'll take what Cathy gave me which is more SEO focused and begin making my own checklist as I go. Then, I will share it with everyone and have others add on to it! Then, we'll have a super list!
Here's a link that will help. Got it from Jay or Leo or Loes ... I hate not to acknowledge that correct person but since I had to change computers I've lost a lot of info. Hope the original creator will forgive...

I will see if I can find it on my hard drive give me a while and I will have a look for you

Unfortunately the documents were deleted when my computer had to have the operating system reloaded
Great idea, I live by these checklists! Any new training I observe I always write it in check list form.. Unfortunately in this particular instance it is a lie as I have never done one for designing a website lol..
might have to look at doing this. I take it for granted that I can do this on automation.
Hi Beau and Nik, I'm the same way--I love checklists! I know that if I don't create one for this that it will become cumbersome when I get to 5 and more websites. So, I'll start one and then maybe different people can add to it!
Great thought Richard! I would love to work with folks on this if one does not exist! Are you up for it, Richard?
Hey - spend your time working on your site and training. Check out this link above and don't reinvent the wheel.

That checklist was created by one of the top folks here at WA and I really hope it helps! God Bless!

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could tell me the exact steps to get into the HTML coding for the home page? I am able to get into the other pages but I'm not sure why I can't acc
If you need the full source you can normally get it by going to the "View" and then "View Source" option in the top menu bar of your browser.
With FireFox you can get a plugin called "FireBug" that will let you make temporary changes to code (mainly css) so you can see what your site looks like with the change. If you like the change you can copy and paste the change into your hard code.
The only other way I know how to get the code is by going to the control panel on the server. I don't know if that option is available through the WA site builder.
Anyway, that's some addition options for you.
Thank you for that additional information. Sounds like I am stuck with the bad spacing on the home page then. Thanks so much for answering!

Hello everyone, I was wondering how exactly (the steps) I can go in and change some html code? My friend is good at HTML but we can't figure out how to get in and edit successfull
You can edit the HTML of your page in the Wordpress editor if you click on the "Text" tab (not the Visual tab). This is how you can get in and edit the HTML code within your page.
If you are referring to your theme design, this is not HTML. It is PHP/MYSQL and then uses CSS for the styling.
