Hi all

As part of the completion of Certification Course 2, I have been asked to write a blog to provide details of how I am going.

My niche is Copy Editing Online (copy editing is basically proofreading on steriods).

Aside from me using the Copy Editing Online site for affiliate purposes, I also intend to use it to assist me in acquiring online (this is where the other part of my niche title comes from) contract jobs as a Copy Editor.

I've been a member of WA for about 6 months now and until now merely dabbled with the material (this is my second go at the Certification Course). So one of my first successes is to 'get serious'. Another huge success for me is to create the blog, 'Copy Editing Blogs' that required a fair bit of research.

I have found the creation of content to be by far the most difficult of all the tasks presented. But unfortunately, as Kyle I think mentioned in one of his training sessions, it is the most important!

The other difficulty I have had is doing ALL of the tasks for the Certification Course, rather than skipping those that are a little difficult and/or boring. I realise now that all of these tasks have a place, even if indirectly beneficial for me and others (so this realisation is another success!).

My plans for the next 3 months include getting better 'formal' copy editing skills and to continue to write, at the very least, one post a week.

During this time I also intend to read some of the recommended copy editing books and provide reviews, which I hope to use in affiliation with Amazon (and/or other book providers).
