About Ian-in-oz

I suppose it would be prudent to begin with what part of the world I am from.... I live around 18 km inland from an area called Noosa Heads; which is approximately 100 kms North of the Queensland capital of Brisbane.... and yeah that means I am Australian.

When I can I enjoy alot of outdoors type activities.... I scuba dive, climb mountains, surf, and even jump out of perfectly good airplanes just for the heck of it, and on the weekends I umpire Australian Rules Football. I was part way through my Bachelor of Law degree at university but as a mature age student I began to be disillusioned with why I was doing it.

To be completely honest, I am an affiliate marketing virgin. I am not even sure what it was that first brought it to my attention.... but it has grabbed me and I am going to give it a red hot go. I love learning and I feel that I will be able to use this as not only a tool to provide myself with a viable income but also as a means to be able to help humanity in some way.

I look forward to meeting many new people here and enjoying the journey.

Take care,
Ian

Hi Ian...just checking in on you...how is your world down under? I wrote a blog today about potential and it made me think of how you are tapping into your endless supply of potential to help our wounded hero's. Keep up the the good work.

Hi Rebecca, thanks for the thought..... that really means a lot to me. Sorry for the late reply but I have been (and still am) in Melbourne on a little holiday and have not had a great deal of access to the internet so have just been writing articles for the future etc. I will be home again on Sunday and going full steam. Take care of yourself and I will check in with you when I am back in working mode instead of just wondering how my football team is going to do this weekend.... :-)

Hey Ian, I just finished my plugins and three pages. I still have to do content. With my rough draft I will have to pare down quite a bit. I like that Kyle has his sample, too, because I would probably ramble for paragraphs and pages. I will admit I had the approach avoidance thing going on for a few weeks. At first there was so much information I was swimming and my brain was muddled, but after the break when I started up again it is seeming to flow a lot easier and I don't feel like I have information overload (haha) So I am excited about this website and being able to help veterans. Hope all is well with you.

Hey Ian, thanks for the response. I am a newbie at this website stuff too, but it is so interesting and the training and support are wonderful. I've written kind of a rough draft of the intent for my website, but I don't even know if it is too long-winded or if it is the correct way to set it up. I guess some of the things are trial and error, but I'm excited about putting together lots of avenues of support for our vets.

From what I have figured out here you really can't go too wrong with your site, and the people here will always be willing to review any content for you and offer advice or ideas. You are here with the right intent so you can't really go too wrong.

ian-in-oz I am following Rebecca too and read your comment. I am also planning a "returning veteran" type website and want to gather everything available for them. My son is in Afghanastan right now and my Dad fought in World War II and my grandpa fought in World War I and II. I have a deep respect for veterans. Good luck on your journey.

Hey Ian! If you ever leave australia and end up near new jersey, let me know, because I have been dreaming about jumping out of perfectly good airplanes :) Sooo jealous of all the things you do!!! And though I'm much more of fresh meat than you are, I wish you good luck with everything! (and sorry, I know I always put more exclamation marks than I should)

Thanks for the follow, Ian. I'm already envious of your location and most of your outdoor activities (still can't justify jumping out of perfectly good airplanes). You aspire to help humanity, and I find that a noble endeavor. There are lots of helpful people in Wealthy Affiliate, too, so you're already in good company. Wishing you all the best! :-)

Hi ian-in-oz, I wish you all the luck.. Being new is always ok. What is important that you have started.. Whenever you start is the beginning and now you decide how far you want to go. AND AND if you are virgin to affiliate marketing then i am virgin to the concept of affiliate marketing.. Best of luck once again.

Thank you Rebecca.... For possibly the first time in my life, I actually believe that I am walking on the path that I was meant for. You inspire me... so for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

We inspire each other my friend. There is a proverb that says "iron sharpens iron". It is exciting when you connect with people who push you higher than you thought you could go. You dear Ian are only just beginning.
