I do have one question, When I do set up websites through here. Do I keep them and have complete control and access over them even if I don't have prime membership?
When you first start, the free siterubix is a subdomain owned by WA, however, when you purchase your own .com domain, it is yours to do with what you want, although it won't be hosted here at WA unless you're a premium member.
The websites are yours. However, if you stop being a premium member you will have to move your sites to new hosting. The free hosting here for a domain you own is only for active premium members.

For any websites hosted here, you need arrange alternative hosting for your website before your subscription ceases as you would be locked out the platform, site support back ups are only available for 60 days.
You can never revert back to being a starter.
I also suggest you backup your sites, you can use the AIO WP Migration or Updraft plugins. UpdraftPlus is a premium and highly recommended.

When you first join WA you can use their web site builder or you can buy a domain and use it. If you build a site using the WA site you will control it in that you can build a site that will be just a functional and good looking as if it were on a domain you bought. Then when you do buy a domain WA will transfer everything from the WA site to your new domain and you will continue building your site there. Welcome to WA and best wishes.
