What is a good job for you?
How many times have you talked to your friends about your job, how much you love or how much you hate it? But what is a good job after all?
Well, it's hard to tell. How many of us have a full-time job for life? We spend a great part of our life questing for the perfect job, in most cases we never find it! A good job for me, may not be good for you and vice versa.
The other day I was talking to my best pal, he is a programming engineer for a big company here, he has a full team working on his project and a fat "secure" paycheck on the end of the month and he was unhappy! Why? Because we are human beings, it's in our nature to want more and more!
I have adopted a golden rule, the day I woke up and think, dammit I have to go to that crappy job again, is time to move on...
What is a good job nowadays?
Well for me a good job is my own job! Working with a computer and the internet anytime, anywhere! And the good news is, you can do it too!
We live in a golden era, an era where people can actually earn money without leaving the comfort of their homes, but, do you have what it takes?
Nothing happens overnight, and in order to succeed you need self-disciple, auto-criticism, willpower, optimism, perseverance even sacrifice! The ability to take a kick in the face and keep moving towards the goal...

If someone ask me again what is a good job? I now have the proper answer to give. A good job is the one that makes you want to work not only for the paycheck but also because you actualy enjoy doing it!

That is easily the best answer I have ever heard to that question, Pedro. I've seen so many people who constantly complain about how unfair life is, how they feel trapped by their awful jobs, how they can't stand their bosses, etc... But they won't move. It makes me wonder if they've ever stopped to think about what really WOULD make them happy.

There are some situations where people are afraid to lose everything despite their unhappiness. they rather have one bird in the hand than two flying...
Great post! I remember having a job that made me sick to my stomach every time I had to walk through the door, and I knew it was time for a change.
Most of us had one of those at least once... :( Just thinking of it raises the heart beat ... :/

Speaking of good job, good job with this post! I agree.... although I have a full time job, that I actually enjoy, the desire and ability to work for yourself is the ultimate dream and one of my personal goals. I've only been with WA for a week and I already have gained more knowledge and inspiration than I could have if I would have tried to do it all on my own! For that, I am grateful for this community and would recommend it to anyone seeking the same personal freedom.
The two things I love most about WA are the amount of different information we have at our disposal, and the ability to learn from each other and I'm not talking just about technical stuff...
