Hi boys & gals!

I was publishing a post today and came across something that might help you out, so I thought... why not share :P

Homonyms, do you know what they are?

Sure you do!

We use them all the time!

Depending on the context, words like book, lie, right, lead, and so many more can mean completely different things.

So how can we turn this into our advantage when writing posts?

Let's say one of these words is part of your primary keyword, we can try to disambiguate it with a link to Wikipedia.

Here is a practical example!

Refunds & returns were part of my keyword, so I wanted to tell Google once it crawled my website that returns are not to turn back!

Google would figure that out anyway...

But why not give it a litle help?

So I searched Wikipedia for returns and got to product return and just made a highly relevant outbound link to a high authority website, AKA two rabbits with one stone.

I hope all this makes sense to you!

I wish you all a great day!

Cheers

Pedro

That is fascinating! Thank you!

Since you should have 1 link (per post) to a high DA site... get one that can help you ;)

I-Pedro,

Thanks for the information.
