What is the POINT?
I was thinking about all the work it takes to share your posts on social media sites, group boards on all the sites and sharing and caring here at WA.
I thought if we are all doing the same thing, giving each other comments, so we have comments to help us with google ranking etc, where is the true interaction, is this fake followers and fake comments.
Myself I have subscribed, bought, followed and shared many peoples posts and sites but I was still thinking what is the point of it all.
Then I though about it, even if the person giving you the comment or share is in the same boat as you they are sharing with their followers, who in turn might share with their followers, so looking at it from the point of view that if 1 person shares your post it could be like another 500 people maybe seeing your post which would then lead to organic traffic.
Am I right or am I wrong????
I belong to several facebook groups where we share and comment on each others post, I do the same on the other social media sites.
This has built up the number of followers and it has added to my email list as well.
SO what I would say there is always a point to hard work and sharing and caring, but you have to be disciplined and diligent and then the work will pay off.

I've had similar thoughts Helen. I guess my plan is to reach as wide an audience as possible and see what works.

I understand your sentiments Helen. If we were only sharing among the WA group then there wouldn't be any point. However, as you said, it gets you more exposure to other viewers who may also share. It's the same thing that people are doing with sponsored posts and advertising - using other people's platforms to reach a wider audience.

No matter if the comments are coming from 10,000 of our close friends at WA or 10,000 random strangers, those comments and interaction get your site ranked! The higher it is ranked, the more eyes get to your site! keep up the great work! Nice post!
