Indexed in Google?
So... A message just popped up from WA to let me know my site has been indexed in Google. Wow, really? Only 24 hours since it was created, and with a bare bones layout and only the Privacy Policy and About Me pages? Gives me hope that I may be able to develop decently ranked sites afterall. Lol!
Now I need to figure out how to customize/edit design elements, colors, etc. I stink at page design. The creative side of this will be my biggest learning curve. Hopefully the training addresses this as I go through it.

Indexing and rankings are two different things on Google. The lessons will clarify that for you. Yes, the training will provide step by step. Continue as you build your site following the lessons. I had to go through it over and over, until I finally got it. Yes, congratulations, now keep going. Do not stop when you’re on a roll. I made that mistake and got lost, had to start all over again.
You're right. Come to think about it, I knew that, but yeah, I got those terms crossed up. Oh well. Hey Google recognizing my new site even exists is still an accomplishment at my level. Lol.
