Hey WA family, I had a question for anyone who has sold a WA site recently. I have a few sites that I really don't use and planned on selling them from the start.

Does

Another bit to consider you are stating it is a WA website, are you meaning say it is hosted on WA, or you are promoting WA on it. If the latter why would you want to sell it and you'd need change your links within which I presume you would be aware.

If something totally different, kindly let us know.

The sites I want to sell don't have too many links on them, I mainly bought them for the domain name, created some content and wanted to age them before trying to sell them.

No worries just wanted get clarification. Thank you.

Hi, please use an ESCROW service to complete the transaction and that you do not get scammed, very important. Escrow services typically charge a fee.

Technical side, you would back up your site if have content.

AIO WP Migration is the plugin to use to shift your site over to another hosting plan.

And needing the EPP authorization code and unlocking to hand it over.

Below link step by step how to migrate a site Other back up plugin is Updraft. UpdraftPlus is a premium and highly recommended.

Thanks for the answer! I will look into your training you just listed and will let you know if I need more help! I will definitely use an Escrow service to keep it all legit.

Hope all goes well for you.

Video Marketing

I have a video that is about 30 minutes long, 1.32 GB. The maximum upload for media is 32 MB. Is there anyway that I can get my video on my site, I want this one to be only on

Featured Comment

You never want to upload videos/audio directly to your website. It will slow down your website load times/performance. Any website with videos on it out there will either have independent hosting for their videos or they will upload to either Youtube or Vimeo and then embed to their websites from there (which I recommend).

So if you have a video that you want to use on your website, you will want to upload it to Youtube and then embed to your website from there. Here is some training on how to embed a Youtube video: This will also give you additional exposure to your video within the Youtube community (which can actually lead to quite a lot of traffic).

If you want your video to appear to be on your site, you will want to use Amazon to host your videos:

https://aws.amazon.com/free/

This way they won't have ads within them and not be branded with Vimeo or Youtube.

Thanks for chiming in, Kyle. With your answer and others, I get the whole video slow down issue better and separate hosting, is that going to be in WA's future? ;)

I ended up putting it on YouTube, and making it "Unlisted" . I'm going to use the Video as a selling point to WA, it explains basically the whole WA training, but shorter and making the viewer interested, and its "Exclusive"

I know the training you have here is solid, but I love the idea of new tactics. I'm going to pull in a huge amount of referrals... eventually! :)

From Facebook you can register your Advertiser Account and you can upload your video to your site.

You can upload a link from your Google Blog or from YouTube or from Facebook.

HI Kenny!

This is what I did, maybe it will help you!

I created my video which is a widget on the sidebar of my website. I created it, uploaded it to YouTube, which you can do to, just list it as private.

You can make the widget look like whatever you want by creating a jpeg and then creating the widget with the video link.

You can check out mine at yourfulltimervliving.com

Once you have that created on your website you can use your website URL in your social media postings.

I hope that helps! Merry Christmas!!

This is the best way in my opinion and is how I've done it in the past as well . Thanks for sharing, Howard!

My pleasure Sir! I am in no way an expert but continue to learn here in WA! I also like being able to check the analytics on YouTube to see how the video is doing.

Even if you were able to get the video up to your site, you will run into bandwidth issues. If you have several people viewing the video at the same time, it will slow down the site and the video will buffer to the point of being useless. Your hosting company will probably flag you for fair use violations.
Your best bet is to house it at Vimeo.com and then provide a viewer on your website. This does cost some money but Vimeo is set up to handle the bandwidth.

There are ways to change or create a php.ini file and set the limits within that file. It's been a while since I have done this but I seem to remember that you have to move this ini file to another folder away from your root. I don't remember the exact folder, however.

Again, my advise is not to do this but it is possible.

Best Regards,
Jim

I cannot help with this but maybe Jay knows. Give him a shout and see. Or hopefully, someone else here will have the answer.

WA Affiliate Program
Updated

If I had a promotion for my website, where I give away the first month of a WA membership, could I easily pay for their first month membership with WA credits, then allow them

Featured Comment

We do not allow you to pay for someone first month or offer money back offers. That goes against her affiliate policies, and when people offer these they will put their affiliate accounts in jeopardy.

Free or money back offers can cause tremendous issues in terms of whether or not they're granted. Often times and people offer these online they don't actually grant them which wouldn't bode well for our brand. So any offers that are ever made like the Black Friday offer need to be created at the company level.

We offer a free starter membership, that should be more than adequate to get someone in the door.

I hope this clarifies for you Kenny!

Hey Kyle, I was hoping you would weigh in. I understand, back to the drawing bored it is! :)

I don't think it's a good idea. Do you know why? It will be more difficult for the member to pay $49 than to pay $19.

Going gradually from starter, that it $0 then $19 then $49 is very much easier.

So you are not helping the member by offering the $19.

I have to say I agree with Loes and Mr Kearns. WA is worth its weight in gold. It's the person - they have to want it for themselves... if they want it, they'll definitely find a way! Ask me, cause that is what I do month to month... I'm a broke, single mommy as many here are. We know this works and are sacrificing now for the near future of excellence and income =)

But than you might get stuck paying every month for that member as it comes off your card, and if you're thinking of sending them the money to upgrade, how are you going to be sure they are going to use it to upgrade in WA? Just my 2 cents! It sounds like a good way to get more potential members going to your WA link, but it could backfire on you as well! How were you planning on going about doing this? Paying for their first month, and knowing they are sharing the promotion? Not everyone can be trusted to follow through, especially if you don't know them! Just playing Devil's advocate here! :) Maybe I'm a little confused about what you mean...lol

This is why I asked if I could use my WA credits to pay for just the first month, then they have to take over.

Just a thought. The first month is $19, why don't you give a discount on the second month. Then you know at least that they are seriously working on a website

Great idea for him!! :)

That's a great idea also, but my biggest question, is can I use my WA credits to pay for only one month of their WA membership, then allow them to take over after?

You can send any member WA credits if you want
https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/credits
click on "transfer credits"

You can not even pay your own WA fee with credits. You have to transfer them first to your PayPal account. So, no you can not pay directly with credits for the membership fee of someone else

Transferring over 36 credits to the winning member would cover the cost then, correct? Then they have to take over if they want to stay with the program?

36 is $18 discount
That would be 49 - 18 = $31 for the second month

For the record, I don't do this, and here is why: I believe WA is worth its money for 200% and if my referrals do not see this worth, I am not going to persuade them with discounts, they will leave anyway the 3rd month

I understand the whole WA concept, I'm still here for a reason!!! I just thought I could use a Facebook ad to get people to my website, then sign up for WA, if they see the potential then they stay, I'm only targeting the ones who are actually interested in WA and have to do a few steps in order to get a free month. The free month is just to get the attention, I hope for a large group of referrals, one to get a free first month and the rest are just regular referrals that see the program for what it offers.

Sorry, incorrect math, 38 credits would cover their first month, but will they be billed for the next month or will I?

They will be billed because you have to credit them with credits, so they will be in the system with their account data

So, overall what do you think of this? Try it or pitch it?

Kyle made it clear. Thanks for the replies! :)

Quite clear:))

I love this one, it's better than my idea.

I don't believe this particular version of pay it forward is mainstream here. Rich's explanation says it best!

If you have at least 3 referrals go premium, you can pay your monthly fee for the business.

I'm not worried about my monthly fee, I'm just thinking of new strategies to get referrals. :)

It's been discussed in the past, and I recall most referrers were against this being allowed. I can understand why, it would make WA a difficult sell for one set of referrers if there was an option to get a free month of premium from other sites but not theirs.

Would you look at my reply to Eric, was that a way discussed in the past or is it the same idea?

OK, you only pay for one person but one of the wealthier referrers can afford to pay for every referral to have a free month, so you and a lot of other Bootcampers are immediately disadvantaged. What then?!

In truth, no other member can answer this question for you, only Kyle or Carson can say whether they'd permit it or not, but as I said when it was floated in the past, the majority of the referrers were against it.

That just comes down to how well you can market. I'm just selling the program and encouraging others to read about it if they are interested, if so, then they sign up and potentially get a free month, even if they don't sign up, I'm still getting social traffic. So I guess this is a question of marketing strategy VS paying off members?

I think it's unlikely that Kyle or Carson will agree to this, but if you want a definitive answer, PM them. :)

Kyle set me straight, just trying to think out of the box! :)

No probs. no harm in asking! :)

I agree with Eric. Just my opinion too.

Check my reply, I explained my thought a little better. Still love your opinion! :)

Just my two cents, but i feel people get a lot more value out of something when they pay for themselves. $19 is already a huge and awesome discount. Offering that as the bonus to me is more than enough and a spectacular value. Again, just my opinion.

My thought was to social media a promotion where you have to go to my site, read about WA then share the promotion in order to get a free first month membership. Everyone still sees WA through my site, I only pay $19 for one person but potentially 100's others still see WA and just sign up for the sheer potential of the program.

Social Engagement & Marketing
Updated

I have created a few trainings on how to advertise on Facebook and I know everything online is trial and error but I want to know what other members experience on Facebook.

I personally think it's best to pm people on Facebook because Facebook is much too Nazi like as far as their rules and regulations. I this comment doesn't offend anyone. I personally have been strangled by Facebook.

I try to get the attention of the interested ones then PM them but sometimes it doesn't work out the way it was intended.

I haven't promoted wa in groups but I promoted other money making offers and get signups and leads in the past with money making groups. There are only about 10 decent make money groups that get engagement.

Problem with Facebook is most the traffic is on mobile. It's best to generate leads and worry about sales later.

The only way to have any effect is to post for engagements. Meaning a link is pretty much useless in your main post. Which also means you have to manually reply.

And if you want to have some kind of a life only do your group marketing from a smartphone. Computer is to slow.

Ideally you only want to post a few post and try to get one to viral. If this happens you just have to reply to people's post when your phone notifies you of a post engagement through the Facebook app.

An idea of a post that could get response is.

I've made $xxx yesterday affiliate marketing with this simple website. I'm willing to show next 10 people who reply how for FREE.

Comment "Info" below
***Image***
***Video for best results***

When people comment info, directly reply under there thread with your link. This way others don't see your link and Facebook registers another engagement on your post.

The more people who reply to your post the more news feeds your post shows up in. After about 30 replies your post goes viral.

I've had post with 300 replies.

Wa is free so you would get sign ups if your free report provided great value or review is ok but if you really want to impress people show them a way to a few bucks fast. Preferraly $20 enough to cover them cost of WA first month. There are ways. Your free report or free guide should tie into wa somehow. If anything you've gained a email subscriber and you can start working on your brand as an internet marketing trainer or consultant.

Also people are tired of mlm or opportunities that require recruiting to earn decent income.. A vlog about how people could have success at getting away from mlm and focusing on blogging could resinate with people.

Non marketing groups. Never post a direct link or redirect link to a affiliate offer. Link to a lander page or blog post. Add value to the group with your post or admins will do away with you. Also most networks will ban you if they detect fb group traffic especially if your promoting a Make money nich CPA offer.

Amazon will eventually ban you posting in groups for the simple fact your violating TOS by not having affiliate disclosure in your post and privacy policy on your post and not to forget you're pretty much spamming. If your promoting Amazon products link to a landing page or blog post. Amazon won't care about your feelings when they ban you. They have 1000s of affiliates following the rules.

Another way to market on fb is start following and adding other internet marketers. Once you have 3k to 5k friends start going live adding value.

Rule #420

Don't rely on Facebook group traffic. I have one non money making offer that makes me $30 to $50 a day posting in 40 specific groups. Lucky!!! I posted pretty much to test my page. Since it only took 15 minutes a day and I got conversions pretty much every time I posted, I kept posting every day for a few months consistanly but once I started getting organic and paid traffic I stopped posting so much. The immediate traffic was a blessing. It helped me optimize my page for conversions.

Facebook group traffic will let you down 90% of the time.

For $5 a day you could be generating immediate traffic using FB ads.

Peace.

Sounds like you know your stuff relating to Facebook.

You know your stuff! I will try your tips! :)

Like anything there is opportunity to maximize time and effort. I spent more time than I care to mention in that sandbox trying to make that fb group traffic POP!

Finding out which groups have engaging visitors especially in MMO niche is essential, But there are groups you can post in and immediately start getting traffic in other niches even with a link..

One way of connecting with users is simply going to a group and seeing the new members who joined recently and welcoming them

"Welcome to the group. I put together a free training Im sure can help you make some extra cash" if you need any help send me a message. You can find the training here wwwlink"

When you hit enter they get a notification.

excellent thank you...

HI Kenneth,
I have tried several of the social media platform, but so far I have not gotten much response. Of course, I haven't promoted my posts, or posted to any groups. My take is most groups don't want you posting ads on their site. You have to ask the owner or get deleted.
Just my experience,
Kathi

I joined several groups that allow you to post your opportunities whenever you want. I have gotten several referrals this way, but most of them are just tire kickers. But I figure out of ten tire kickers I will get one premium member. Just have to keep hustling.

Do you just drop ads or are you an active member in the groups?

I'm still trying with no results.

Trial and Error

Yes.

While I haven't used groups to get leads for my WA - affiliate business, I have used them to get leads for my offline business.

My experience is that even in groups which allow promotions on set days or all the time. The engagement on those posts is minimal or non-existent.

Where I get benefits out of groups is being an active contributor which people look too as a trusted source. So instead of posting a promotion to the group, post quality content which is of benefit to the group. You do this after a while you will get a regular flow of traffic to your site.

From there they will find your affiliate links if that is of interest to them.

My original hope was to go into a niche specific group, offer people a chance to sell products from that niche then talk to the interested ones, however, the admin deleted my post.

Unfortunately with groups it is really about paying it forward. You need to be providing valuable content which is of use to the other members before you have any chance of being a able to promote your stuff. As a few others have mentioned knowing the rules of the groups and what is allowed and not allowed is essential.

Can be a very good strategy. I know a travel agent which gets about 70% of her business through Facebook groups. Does not promote anything, just is in there commenting and helping people.

I will try and make friends :)

Wow

I only posted twice my website links in two different groups (not WA related), but the reaction of one group frightened me... there were huge silly discussions about a nonsense which had nothing to do with the topic itself.... I decided not to continue with groups unless I am invited from others...

I can say from my experience: you have to build trust then eventually they are interested in WA or in another product...

Trust sounds like the way to go on FB.

With FB groups you have find some in your niche who accept promotional type posts. I'm in the RV travel and lifestyle niche and finding ways to fund travel. Consequently, I belong to several RV related groups. Not one of these groups allows promotional posts. You have to read their "rules" carefully, otherwise risk being booted off the group. Maybe a FB ad would work for you? I've been thinking about that myself.

Do you use your RV niche to get any WA referrals or all RV related Affiliate products?

I've posted WA affiliate links on my RV Road Masters FB page, but with no discernible results yet. Also trying to get more audience to my website through my FB pages where I have the Amazon affiliate links set up for products. It's a slow process, isn't it!

Yes it is! But it will pay off! We just have to keep pushing! :)

Yes, I agree...it will pay off. All the best to you!
Sue

Some groups on Facebook have dedicated days for advertising .. perhaps engage with the group to find out!

Good advice. That is what I was thinking, I was hoping for a little less effort I suppose. But with everything, hard work pays off more often than short cuts. :)

Does the website privacy policy given by kyle at the beginning of the training cover every website? What if the website doesn't sell anything, does it even need a privacy polic

drjec is right. You can use the one Kyle has set up but you need to change the website URL and email address. If you are going to ask people to sign up for a newsletter you do need a privacy policy so they know you won't be sharing their information. Also, it has your email address if anyone wants to contact you. Hope that helps Margaret

Basically its a recommendation to help assure visitors to the site that there are hidden cookies, etc. The privacy policy that Kyle suggested is pretty generic. It is also important to have a statement about your affiliate relationships especially one for amazon. Here's a brief training on the affilaite disclaimer.
