Feeling Lost
I feel so lost and confused. I posted a question on my niche idea and getting content for it, but all anybody wanted to do was tell me to watch the training and research. I have watched the training & been doing research, but I have gotten nowhere for the past 4 days. Thought they said this community was helpful. Yeah I haven't seen that. It seems to me like all anyone wants is to get the ppl they referred to upgrade so they can get paid. Guess I'm on my own which is nothing new.

there is a lot of information here and yes go through teh training- hopefully i haven't lost you yet.
the 'niche' you have picked are products- what you want to d ois to find a group of people you can help - so 'how to choose the best cell phone under $xx' is a niche - it is about a group of people not a product.
so maybe the problem has been the niche selection rather than the communities help.
we cannot do the work for you, so yes you are on your own there, but we can try to help you construct an online business.
cell phones are a very hard niche to break into so you maybe creating content and trying to build your following for a while before you see any return, maybe 6-12 months. have you got the stamina for this? can you write enough information about this niche to create 2 articles a week for the next 30-50 weeks?

In the beginning, WA can be overwhelming there is so much to get our heads around, probably the best thing to do is to start the training it is a step by step process which if followed will help you to create a fully functional website which in turn will lead to the creation of a monetized business. Getting Rolling! With the stater package, have a good look around the platform get a feel for what is on offer have a play around with stuff. It may seem that there is a push to go premium, sometimes many of us just need that to get going the first month is discounted so it gives us more time to look around. Having said that we can just start out and create that first website using the first phase of the certification training
Folks will come in with suggestions with what you should be doing or not, a lot of it will seem like double dutch, it takes a little time to find your feet don't be in a rush just build up as you feel comfortable.
When it comes to selecting a niche you may not get it right straight out of the gate we can change as we go along the important things is to learn as we go.
We have all been in your situation, that phase doesn't last as we get into the training and creating our online presence, it starts with taking some action.
You can do this, you just have to become aware and believe that you can do this. The thing is that we do have a whole community behind us at every step of the journey, it may not feel like it in the beginning, believe me, you do and the unique thing is that folks only want you to succeed.
This may sound strange but at the moment you feel stranded if you stick with it it will be you helping others that are just starting out and in the same situation as you are now. That is the key to the online marketing world.

my idea was cell phones, iPhone x & Samsung galaxy note 5. I have been doing the training. I really wish everyone would stop advising that because it is on my nerves. That seems to be everybody's answer, but when you are doing it and still need help don't tell me to do what I'm already doing. I'm not trying to be rude or anything and I do appreciate the few that have bothered to take the time to say something, but please don't tell me to do what I'm already doing.

Just a thought if you need help try to explain where you need the help or what aspect that you are stuck with, from this side we can only share our experiences or what we do by way of techniques.
It can be hard to pick up on the things sometimes.

You are not on your own, you have a great group of people here. Posting questions to your profile will sometimes result in getting little responses unless you have a large following of people here I noticed.

Don't be afraid to ask in the group chat as well. I always get a lot of responses there depending on the time of day. If need be you can always ask a few times, sometimes it can get very busy and overlooked or honestly people just don't know how to respond sometimes.

Sorry, I've been traveling a lot the past few months - it's conference season, and I'm often a speaker.
That could work, but think bigger too, like cell phone cases and perhaps even cell phone plans. Turn your site into a one-stop shop for best success in that niche.

With your question regarding the cell phone niche I suggested to research some cell phone websites and cell phone accessory websites on Google, to search the training and to read Kyle's most recent WA Blog Post just this week on Niche Selection to get some ideas.
It takes time to assimilate all the information here at Wealthy Affiliate but ultimately your niche selection and content are up to you to create. That does not mean that you are alone...
I am not the least bit invested in whether you upgrade or not here at Wealthy Affiliate....that is for you to decide....I am only here to help and guide you....
It took me 9 months to really get my feet stabilized in this online world!

Perfect! Now your content is differences and similarities and Pros and Cons of purchasing one over the other...just as you would be making that choice yourself.
Then, within the article you can include Amazon links for cell phone accessories and cords etc
Sounds like things are coming together for you!
I'm not sure what your question was, but this is what I do when looking for content ideas for a niche site.
1. Use Jaaxy (or any keyword tool) and search for common terms within your niche. For example lets say your niche is dog grooming. You could start looking for keywords related to brushes, combs, dog hair problems etc. From there you can start researching more about the keyword.
2. Once you have chose a keyword, go to youtube and google and type in your keyword. Watch videos and read articles on your keyword so that you have a good understanding of what content already ranks well.
3. Write up a unique piece of content which is more indepth and basically better than those articles already ranking on page one of google.
4. Repeat Step one through to 4 for the rest of your life :)
Finding content ideas from other blogs in your niche is easy. Just google 'niche blogs' and see what topics they are writing about. This will give you your own ideas as well. Next head back to Jaaxy and start researching new keyword ideas from the blog content ideas you just found.
