Home Advantage With Wealthy Affiliate

Here in the U.K our football (soccer) season is just getting back underway. The season was near finished just before lockdown, but now it has the go-ahead, allowing the teams to finish their remaining 9 games or so.

My team unfortunately are close to the bottom of their league, being only a couple of points above the relegation spots. So the remaining games are going to be vital in helping us avoid the drop.

I looked at the fixtures and was at least relieved to see that 5 of those remaining matches are home games. The reason for my relief is that we have a much better home record than away.

However, then I thought, playing at home isn’t going to make any difference for those remaining games. That’s because all remaining games will be behind closed doors. The fans can only watch the games via a streaming service on their tablets at home.

If you follow a team you will know that home advantage only really happens when the players know they have thousands of fans right there with them, clapping every skilful move, and singing their names.

The players know the fans have their back. They will boo every decision the referee rules against them, and vent their anger at every player on the opposing team that fouls them.

Home advantage is real, it makes a huge difference to the morale of the team and individual players. It’s the reason almost every team does way better at home than away,

The fans are the only significant difference between home and away games for the players. Football pitches, the grounds, the facilities, are pretty much all the same.

Here at Wealthy Affiliate you also have home advantage. Like the football players, you have thousands of people that want you to win, to succeed. Without the community at Wealthy Affiliate, as an affiliate marketer, you would be playing an away game week in week out. All the doubts and insecurities you have would represent the away fans. They want you to lose, to fail.

If you’ve just joined this community you will soon realise the importance of having a supportive community behind you when you need them there. If you’ve been here for some time you’ll know exactly what I mean.

Now I’m off to ‘support’ my team. Wish me luck because I think we’re going to need it.

Keep your head up mate. Relegation is never the end of the road. If the team has been training they will achieve what they have trained for. All the best of luck to your team. May they rock the opposition's goal net.

Thank you,
We are off to a good start. We won today and moved up 4 places in the league. Let’s hope we can keep it going. Thanks for your comment, I appreciate it.

Ray

Hi Ray, hope your team picks up their game. A team I follow is struggling at the bottom, things took a turn tonite and the coach has been sacked.

Results are the meter of success.

I agree with you the community support can make a huge difference.

Best wishes for the season that remains.
Alex

Hi Alex,
Sounds like your team is having a tough time right now. I hope a new coach can turn things around quickly...it can, and does happen!
Thanks for your comment, I appreciate it...we do have a great community here.

Ray

Hi Ray
One things for sure, WA has an incredible supportive community
Jim

Hi Jim,
You’re absolutely right, I know I wouldn’t have got this far without them.

Ray

Thanks for the post.
Having home advantage is important and we have a great community here in WA.
With regards to the UK football season starting again the home advantage with no crowds will be different.
I can see these last nine games being a bit unpredictable.
All the best with your team's survival.
The team I have followed since 1975 is not out of the woods with regards to relegation from the Championship.
Darren :)

Hi Darren/Nicola,
Yeah, it will be strange for the supporters and the players. The atmosphere of a training game, but so much to play for. My team is struggling in the Championship too. If I say our mascot is a pie then you’ll know who I mean. 😂
I’ve been a fan since 1986 and been a season ticket holder almost every year since.
Best of luck to your team, hope to be playing you again next season.
Great having you here as a part of this supportive community,

Regards

Ray

Thanks, Ray.
We play each other on Tuesday 30th June at your place.
All the best for today's match.
Darren :)

A real ‘6 pointer’ that one Darren, just like todays. Fingers crossed we both survive.
Ray

I love the analogy! Thank you so much for sharing, Ray.
Wishing your team success!
Blessings
