I've done quite a bit of research on this topic, and everything I've read suggests all your boards should be relevant to your niche, which mine are. However I saw Kyle's traini

I know quite a lot of people who have successful boards called something like wish boards and they show what they would like to buy in the home of the bathroom or for technology.

doesn't adding other topics show that you are a human and not just marketing or even a marketing bot.
show some of your varied interestes and be active and it may improve your marketing efforts.
just my opinion and something i look for
good luck

If I look at my account then my pinterest name is setup as my website name so it might be a bit tricky to add another topic to it.

That said, my experience with pinterest shows that in most cases you find a pin based on a search which in turn hopefully drives traffic to your website. In that regard, I can;t see why you then can't have a number of boards on your account with different niches.

Hope this helps

Absolutely, Hindy, it is becoming an issue world wide.

I was reading online that shelters are filled up with abandoned cats and sadly kittens. The feral cat populations are exploding.

A site exporting these issues would have a ready audience.

Best wishes.

There are millions of feral cats in the U.S. alone! Bringing them to the shelter pretty much guarantees their deaths unfortunately. Thanks for your feedback, just hope I see affiliate sales so I can help get a spay/neuter project going.

Thanks so much, and yes I have given it a lot of thought and it's a project I've been working on for awhile. A couple of days ago I started wondering if I could regularly write content and add affiliate links. The more money I make the more I can help!

Noble and profitable I hope!! More money for me means more money to help the cats!

So very true!

In my opinion, yes, your niche site could work.

I know of a non-WA member who's slowly building a successful blog around hedgehogs. I think she said she currently gets 400 - 600 visitors a day.

Thanks for your reply, but do you know if she's able to monetize it?

No problemo! :)

Absolutely, it could. We're here to help people solve problems. Advocacy site do just that. Looking forward to great things. Christine

Thanks I appreciate your feedback, but I also want to monetize it and that's my concern.

Loes is very good with them. Why not drop her a line after you've followed her training here:

I can't think of anything off the top of my head. But If you want me to take a look at the code on your page, feel free to hit me up with a private message and a link to the page you are working with. I'd be willing to take a look to see if anything looks out of place.

HI Hindy - what is the name of the storefront theme? I'm developing a site with a blog/product combo. I've been looking for a nice storefront.

Hi Alyssa, storefront is the name of the theme.

Thank you, Hindy. I found it. Nice theme! Now I'm going to watch the training videos on installing WooCommerce :)

Good luck. Not sure what I'm going to do yet.

Hello Hindy,

I just launched a multi-niche store with WooCommerce. It’s free and fairly powerful.

Maybe this will help:

You can get training videos here https://support.woothemes.com/hc/en-us/articles/203252645-WooCommerce-101-Video-Tutorials-Build-your-store-from-start-to-sale-.

There are some free plugins you want for sure:

1. WooCommerce plugin - free
https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce/

2. WooCommerce Conversion Tracking Plugin- free
https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-conversion-tracking/

3. AddFunc Header Footer Code Plugin- free
https://wordpress.org/plugins/addfunc-head-footer-code/

4. Paypal For WooCommerce Plugin- free
https://wordpress.org/plugins/paypal-for-woocommerce/

5. Stripe For WooCommerce- free
https://wordpress.org/plugins/stripe-for-woocommerce/

6. WooCommerce Export Buyers- free
https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-export-customer-email/

7. Woocommerce Abandoned Cart Lite – free
https://wordpress.org/plugins/woocommerce-abandoned-cart/

Paid Plugins I got:

7. WooCommerce Live Sales Feed Plugin- $16
http://codecanyon.net/item/live-sales-feed-for-woocommerce/7273610

8. WooCommerce Fraud Detection Plugin- $25
https://wpspring.com/products/woocommerce-anti-fraud-detection-plugin/

Other plugins to consider:

9. Ebay & Aliexpress WooCommerce Importer (there a few different ones, only need it if you are loading a ton of products on your store) - $25

10. WooCommerce Per Product Shipping- $79
http://www.woothemes.com/products/per-product-shipping/

Google and you might find better price for the paid plugins, watch out for the version and support level though.

My site has been up for 1 week now and if you like we can share progress.

Have fun and success!

Cheers!

Hi Gerald, wow, thanks for all that info. I will start having a look and definitely I would love to share progress. It may take some time before I'm up and running. I'm doing this site I have now on senior dogs, and just started researching the market for the new niche I'm interested in. I'll keep in touch with you. Cheers, Hindy

Sorry Hindy, I never really answer your initial questions.

WooCommerce is very easy to setup, the training videos are short and easy to follow.

Just for the basic framework of the store it will take around 4 hours depending on how fast you work and much you want to include.

Please let me know if you require further clarity.

Cheers!

Hi Gerald, as soon as I get started I'll be in touch. Thanks so much for keeping in touch. Cheers, Hindy

Hi.

I've setup two sites with WooCommerce - and definitely recommend it.

I sell handmade clocks, and also wordart frames - and haven't had any issues with it.

It's intuitive, works out of the box with PayPal, you can setup thousands of variations (if you want to), each with their own pictures, prices etc etc.

...ohh and it's free :)

I did pay for one extra from woothemes - as I wanted to use WorldPay as a payment processor for one of my sites - the other has been happily working away without any paid add-ons.

All the best, Mark

Thanks Mark, you've been very helpful. Hindy

You can install the plugin and just follow the setup wizard to set up the pages for your products and check out procedure. If you are using affiliate products, you might need to input the product images and descriptions one by one so it will take some time.

Hey Gina, I haven't spoken to you in awhile. How's everything going? Thanks for that. If there's a shopping cart with woo commerce, than that would only be for products I'm selling correct? If I'm doing affiliate marketing I'll just put the links in my post like I do now. Do I have that right?

That is correct Hindy

Thank you Ken, that's what I figured.

My pleasure Hindy.

Its not too bad. There are a lot of settings but just go through them step by step and you should be fine.
There are good tutorials both at the WooCommerce site and on YouTube to help you set it up.

Thanks for that, I'll check it out. Didn't want to commit until I knew what I was getting myself into!! Cheers, Hindy
