Maintaining a flow and keeping it simple

I finally got a chance to get a little bit of training in today even my pace is slow because of having to tend to family and running errands. I always have to remind myself not to lose focus or get discouraged when everyone in my family takes up my time asking for help with one thing or another. It does start burning me out when I see the hours tick away with everything that is going on when I in fact want to be focusing on building my online business. When I first tried building a business online around 4 years ago, I went through the same thing with the family needing help "can you come over and help", "we need help running an errand moving", "can you use some of your paid time off to help you inlaws"?

This caused a quick and what I now can realize a fatal burnout to anyone that is endeavoring to create a new financial path for themselves. Not to mention that I tried to make a super complicated site at the very beginning which was a total disaster. So now I am learning to schedule my working on my business in the early morning hours when I am expecting no phone calls from anyone. Also I found out that I tend to be more focused at night time when I have paid time off from work, also I let family know when I can and can't help out. I used to feel guilty about putting some family on the back buring mostly cousins and inlaws, but if I want to break out of having to be at a jobsite on a daily basis I have to make these changes.

Maintaining this more simplified flow has actually taken a great deal of stress off of me and I'm also staying hopeful in my renewed goal of financial freedom and creating a new career for myself.

You're right, Lloyd! It seems you have to guard your time for your business jealously!

If you are usually giving of your time and talents to others, they don't understand a new at-home job!

Keep up the good work, help the family as you need!
But allow yourself this need to build something for yourself!

You have realized the need to pace yourself, yes, that is a true need! Set an encouraging pace!

It is good to see you grow here at WA!
God Bless and Good Luck!

Hi Lloyd,

I can relate to the feeling when everyone wants a piece of you and you are pulled and pushed in every which directions.

Good for you! You have to prioritize so that you know what is important and what requires your time and effort if you don't you can not make any real progress.

Much success to you!

Kind regards,
Nichola

You are going the right way about it Lloyd.
