Hey Howard,
You need to be running WordPress v5.1.1. Using WordPress 4.8 could eventually take your site down again with another well updated plugin and/or theme.
If you are concerned with WordPress v5 being a headache, here's how you can resolve that fear BEFORE updating... first... backup your website and then follow this video: Block WP Block Editor From View in All Posts Then you can rest assured, WordPress can be updated without causing issues for you.
Hope you find this helpful.
Thanks for the assistance, Trish!
Yes, I know I need to make the leap. This is the first issue I have had. But my site is getting so large that I know I need to update to the latest WP version.
I'll follow your advice and do that soon!

DId the yearly referral commission for the $359 premium membership drop from $175 to $155? My latest payment reflects that change. Anyone else experience that this week?
I haven't experienced this but you can write Kyle through his profile and he will give you the best response right away.
Israel Olatunji
The payment is prorated.
So if they paid $49 for this month and then upgraded, they $359 changes to reflect where they are in the month.
This will happen often as most people will likely not upgrade on the day their $49 is due.
Does that make sense?

I am getting this error message when I go to create, add, or modify pages or posts in the Graphene theme 1.9.3 running in WP 4.8:
Failed to load content css:
Hey Howard,
Doing a quick Google search for "Failed to load content css:" (without the quotation marks, of course), and it seems that this error COULD be being caused by a plugin TinyMCE: https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/tinymce-advanced/
4th search result clearly shows the following:
"Jun 23, 2017 - Since upgrading to version 4.6.x, I occasionally get the "Failed to load content css" error for the /tinymce/skins/lightgray/content.min.css file."
If you are using this plugin, I would recommend you contact their support staff to see if they can offer you a fix: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/tinymce-advanced
If you are NOT using this plugin, then I would suggest you contact support here at WA: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/websites/support
Hope this helps you.
Hi, Trish!
I am not using that plug in. I did a Google search too, saw some responses on the WP forum, but did not understand what they were trying to describe as the solution. Again, they were speaking Geek.
I am hoping for a WA response from someone who has already had this issue arise. Tech support will be my next try if no one has encountered this and able to assist.
Thanks again!!

I did, thanks!
I reviewed Kyle's post on setting up All in One SEO to see if changing over to WP 4.8 may have changed something. I am wondering if it is a Jaaxy Site Search thing and nothing to worry about.
I have seen that before with special characters not being shown right or not recognized. I don't know if you have special character though...
It could be something in the settings of the plugin. I would check there. I don't know exactly why those symbols are showing unless it is set to show up like that. Sorry, I can't be of more help!

I'm always 'out and about' here.....except for the past few weeks while my pesky laptop kept crashing.....quite an adventure and one I hope will not be repeated...lol
I upgraded to WP 4.4.2 and all went well, so far. Looking at my website I see no disharmony with its normal function. I did not upgrade the theme as it says customization will be lost. I am not sure I need to. So I will leave that alone for now.
You've done everything possible to ensure that there's no problem when you update so go ahead and do it. In the worst case scenario you can restore your site using WP Clone to exactly what it was before the update.
I am aware that it will tell you that you can upgrade by a link, but don't know if clicking on the link will mess you up. Better let me leave it to the expert. I upgrade like that, but I was still building up my site.
Thanks, Elijah! My site is large at 114 pages and posts with lots of photos. I am looking for someone in a similar situation that has upgraded and how it went.
