As i heard people keep saying it is not free at all for them.
Hi Peter, welcome to WA - now as for your question, as far as I know if you are standing upright and breathing then there is no reason why you can't join WA, just the fact that you are now on here as a free member verifies that, if you weren't allowed to join you would have been told/advised when you signed up, I have no idea who told you it wasn't free however there's an important lesson for you don't listen to other people who have no idea what they are talking about.

There are some countries that can only have premium membership due to high incidence of spam. I think the Philippines is one of them.
