The New Year is Nearly Here
Hard to believe, but 2018 is closing in. Do you remember all the hoop-la when the year 1999 turned into 2000. Was that only 18 years ago? Now, every time the year changes, I think about all the press, speculation and fear of technological loss that year created.
However, I don't believe the transition from 2017 to 2018 will cause as much concern as it did when 1999 changed into 2000. For those of you who are a day ahead of us in the USA, it was a relief to see that nothing happened to your computer driven programs when the change was made. So thanks for being there for all as you are today!
Blessings in the new year, and don't forget to eat your black-eyed peas and ham-hock (pigs feet preferably) along with some cooked cabbage.

Yes. A lot of people made tons of money during the 1999 - 2000 hoax.
All that was required were various testing environments for software etc. An easy feat to accomplish.

Yes Howard I do remember 1999 and the fear of 2k. I don’t think any other transition year will be quite as dramatic. Happy New Year to you and your loved ones.
I believe you are right. Although we weren't quite as dependent on technology then as now, we were in pretty deep in the technologically game. It was looking pretty grim as the year approached. Thanks for your input!
