A Few Writing Mistakes
15
I've been on WA for a short time. Some of the writing mistakes that I have observed in the blogs are quite common. Try to avoid making them when you are writing content. The "Site Content" tool is super for identifying many of our mistakes.
A few mistakes that I have observed:
- There for their
- their for they're
- your for you're
- switching tenses of verbs
- ambiguous sentences and phrases
- to, two, too
A neat book that you can find at Amazon--really cheap is, Elements of Grammar by Margaret Shertzer. I have used this book to teach writing at the college level. It is small and very effective.
Not trying to be critical. Because I am dyslexic, I, too, am guilty of these common mistakes. That's why I recognize them in others, yet not so readily in my own. If I can help, send me a PM.Create Your Free Wealthy Affiliate Account Today!
