How do I download my pictures from my Samsung phone to my computer?

I read below and see that you said you computer says you have 10 drivers out of date. One word of caution: watch where you get your drivers. Most hardware vendors provide updates for free. If you are using Windows XP, you will not receive any security updates and will probably consider changing operating systems. if you are using Microsoft operation system, then let Windows provide the updates. it is safer. If you search the web for drivers you might get something that says they are free, but will load something that costs and/or will load malware behind your desired load. If you go into your phone under settings and Info, you see what type of phone (model) and software details. Just need manufacture, model number or type and we can get you pointed in the right direction.

Thanks for the response. I went to settings but no info to be found there. I have Dropbox but still can't download pics from phone to dropbox. Went to the Samsung website for drivers and downloaded what they said was free for the drivers. NOT FREE after the download. Think it messed some things up on computer. So I got that stuff off my computer. Still can't get on FaceBook today. Guess I'll have to take computer to a place where they fix them and pay $100.

All I know about the phone is it is a Samsung around 2 years old. I have a new Gateway laptop running Windows 8.

Here is a link for a software download. This has USB drivers, and sync software. http://www.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/SGH-I777ZKAATT

I based this off of a Galaxy S2 (if that is what you have) Since you have windows 8, it should have recognized the device and installed the usb drivers. Give it a try.

Tried the download. Could not download it. Will contact someone over the weekend to work on this computer and tell me exactly how to download pics from the phone I have to this computer. Thanks for your time with me.

All I know about this phone is it's a 2 year old Samsung that takes pics. It's not the phone in question I don't believe. It's my driver's in the computer that is causing the problem. Does anyone know where I can go on the Internet to download free drivers?

What model phone? Example; galaxy 2, 3, 4 etc.... What brand PC, system such as win xp or 7 or do you operate with a Linux system?

Let know and we can get you going. Message me if you prefer .

Use dropbox, just Google it, I use it all the time its free I use Samsung galaxy as well

Barry

If you upgraded to windows 8, you really need to work out your drivers for you hardware, get the latest security updates. Also when downloading new software, Win 8 will ask if you want to allow. Firewall protocol. good luck.

Sorry HotBiz, I hope you solve your problem through someone else. I thought USB cables do work with some phones. I use an iPhone 5 and because they've got iCloud, I can just send the photos straight to my computer by just clicking to iCloud. That's the nice thing about iPhone .

I think it's my computer. Thanks though.

If it's just the odd pic. now and again, then it's probably easier just to email it to yourself. :) The other option is to use a camera app that can store to Dropbox http://dropbox.com or a similar cloud service, which you can access from anywhere. :) Rich.

Is it a Samsung smart phone? In this case it probably has a slot for microSD card. Do you have it? Store your pictures on memory card, download them to your computer with memory card reader. This is how I do it.

I bought this Samsung phone from a co-worker (2 years old) to take pics with and to download to the computer and then to upload to my website later. But my computer doesn't want to download them. I tried to download the Samsung Driver for camera but it says 10 of my drivers on computer is not working, Do you know of a FREE driver that I can download so I can download the pics from the phone? Anyone---need help on this problem.

I told you how I do it. It works very well like that. You can get a memory card and card reader for a very low price. Something like this: http://amzn.com/B0046TJG1U

Connect your Samsung phone to your PC via the phone's USB cable. Then you will see that the 'Removable Disk E (F):' will appear. It will ask you to choose to 'import photos from your 'removable disk (phone's usb) to your PC's Windows, or Windows Photo Gallery, etc.
Once imported, you will be able to see the files of your photos/images. Then you can transfer them to the folder 'Pictures'. Then you go back to your website, go to 'add media' then select file, then select Pictures. They should be in .jpeg or .jpg format.

Thanks for getting back to me. When I connect the USB cable to the computer I get nothing. I have a new Gateway computer running Windows 8. Not sure what to do about this problem except to take it to a computer place and throw away $100.

I cannot download phone pics to my computer. I get nothing when I plug in the cord. Do I need some type of driver? If so, can I download a free one?
