How come some have the title as a link and others (like me) have the actual link shown? I can't figure out how I can use the title in an (automated) email here in WA.

Hey Hannie,
You could type out the title of the post you wish to share in an email, and then highlight the entire title, and link the title to the URL of the article you want to share.
So... let's say you want to share THIS question you have posted here... (though, I realize you would not... this is ONLY an example)...
See the example of the URL is shown below in the screen print... this is called a text link.
The following tutorial may help you understand text links even better: Grasping the Concept of Text Links Hope you find this helpful.
Thanks, Trish, Rudy, and Abie.
Your reply, Trish, shows exactly what I mean: the link to that tutorial is the title, not the URL. How do you do that when there is no link button here?
If you look at my screenshot: this is an email message here in WA. If I want to add a link, it is always shown as the whole URL, where it's nicer when it would be the title.
It's difficult to say it clear, sorry. I hope my screenshot explains what my problem is?
You're very welcome Hannie,
It looks like you are creating an email message to become automated.
If so, you create a text link the very same way in an email that you would create one on a post.... IF you new how to use HTML.
As a shortcut to get you where you need to be, I recommend that you do a Google search... see screen print below... and then read through some of the posts that offer suggestions.
Some of those posts may help to simplify this process waaaaay better than I could.

My automated messages aren't sent. I keep getting a - to what to me seems an automated :) - message from the helpdesk that they are working on it. Yet, I do get messages from m
How do you know that they are not going out? Are you getting premium members on a regular basis? Are you checking your outbox in the PM box to see if they are sent to those recent premium upgrades? You can double check with that method if you are still seeing that 0 message sent in your message tracking area.
If you really want to check that messages are going out, you should make something for "starter", since you'll get more starter referrals and can check on those messages more frequently.
'Messages sent' is on 0, Nathaniell. I think (reading Dale's response) it has something to do with making a new group (=new campaign) for my messages?
You may have created a new campaign which is not triggered by your signup conditions. Are you using the "default" campaign and adding to that? Or did you create a new one?
I didn't know there are differences between those campaigns. :(
There must be a reason for this, do you know what that is, Nathaniell? Because I don't see it.
And if it's that simple, I don't know either why the helpdesk can't respond.
You should be adding messages to your default campaign, and that should trigger everything properly.
Have you checked your PM outbox to see if those messages were sent?
Also, I wanted to reiterate that you selected the "Premium upgrade any" option, so you would need to have referrals converting to Premium to have those messages sent.
Did any of your referrals upgrade to Premium? If not, then it makes sense that these messages were not sent.
Thanks for your remarks, Nathaniell.
The reason I made a new campaign, was that the first message to Premium upgrade wasn't sent. So I figured it might be they should be in another group.
But I have changed it. The next one is due tomorrow. There is no way of testing it otherwise, is there, just wait for the trigger?
Do you know if messages get sent, even when they are added later than the actual upgrade? Or are they only sent to new members then?
You'll see when the events start getting triggered. There's no way to test it. Messages are only sent to new members once you make the new message in the sequence.
You should add your messages to the default campaign in order for them to be sent. I'm not sure if you have custom campaign triggers on your account, so I wouldn't worry about that right now. Just work in the default campaign.
Lastly, I've asked multiple times but received no answer - did you actually get a Premium referral? The reason I keep asking because if you did not have a Premium referral AFTER you made your custom message, the message will not have been sent. This is a very key point here, which is why I keep reiterating it.
Sorry, Nathaniell, I thought it was obvious I have a Premium referral. But maybe I understand the whole system wrong and are the 2 Premium signups no Premium referrals?
So if I understand it right, the messages all have to be in place before a signup?
Hey Hannie,
What I found with mine is that I had not set them up properly. Once I fixed THAT issue, everything worked like magic.
That is when I decided to create the following tutorial: How to Set Up Customized Messages for WA Referrals in hopes of helping other members who might be suffering similar issues.
Hope you find this helpful.
Too bad, Trish. These are all things I did. Messages to profile are sent. Personal messages are not sent. :(
Anyway, thanks for your trouble. :)
Have you reached out to SiteSupport to see if it is something that they can fix for you?

Of course, Trish. 3 or 4 times already. Keep getting the same "our senior admin is looking into it" response.
I hope you get it worked out, Hannie! I must admit that I don't have mine set up yet!
Jeff
So far no luck, Jeff. How do you keep in touch with your referrals? Directly, like I do now?

Hannie
I only have had three! Of those two were related, so for the one, I reached out via emails and into her one blog post, and then she simply disappeared, Hannie!
Jeff
What a pity she disappeared, Jeff.
I don't have many yet (also only 2), but I intend to get more referrals, so if there is an automated message system, it should work. At least, in my eyes :)
I thi8nk ours can be set up under the $ sign, Hannie! I just haven't revisited it lately!
Jeff
Hi Villageist, you can better put this question in a thread of your own, as hardly anybody will see it now. And try to be as specific as possible, because I have no idea what you mean by "this"?
On the right top is an icon with $ on it, Villageist. If you click that there is a box that says "Message Campaigns"

Are there rule of thumbs for approving or disapproving site comments? What are yours?
I just had a comment rejected for asking too many questions when all they selected was questions on the topic. Here’s the feedback I was given:
“Even though I asked for questions, I wasn't expecting these much questions. All these are so much to answer.”
For the record, I had only asked three questions and there were three other sentences in there. My entire comment was about as long as their entire blog post.
This sn example of when you should not disapprove comments.
LOL, sorry, Thomas, for you it's not funny, but I couldn't help myself laughing. "Too many questions", very strange.
I would definitely approve a comment with a lot of questions. :)
When requesting Site Comments are asking for up to 4 kinds of responses as follows:
1) Questions on the topic
2) Discussion about the topic
3) Offer experience with the topic
4) Opinion about the topic
The Site Comment giver should Restrict their responses ONLY to the types of responses requested about the TOPIC.
Notice that site comments are meant to address only the TOPIC of the post. NOT a critique of HOW the post was written. That kind of response is considered Site Feedback. Members can ask for Site Feedback if they want a more in depth response that addressed how well the English and engagement was.
If the Site Comment giver didn't meet this criteria you have the right to disapprove the comment.
Also, if they repeat what you wrote and give you general praise as how great your post was, that is of no help to you. Reject it,
I want to see comments that cite points I made in my post that were of benefit to the commenter. In this case even if they gave me comments that fell outside the type of comments I requested, I usually approve them and coach them in my comments that when they give me Site Comments again, please stick within the guidelines I created.
And always be kind.
Does this make sense? Please let me know.
Cheers.
Edwin
Yes, great, Edwin. Thanks. I am always afraid I am too strict, but it seems you are more than I am. Very good :)
Hi Hannie, I answer all my comments regardless of whether their comments are long or short so long as they relate to my post.
I was rejected on one post because I did not answer in the other persons language, which I did not understand.
Also I had no idea what country that person came from. I didn’t mind being rejected because I understood that I was not able to give a proper comment.
It is totally up to you, but don't reject them just because you don't like their advice, as it is probably what you need to hear. Just reject them when it is clear that they didn't even read the post and is just giving a bland response to get the credit.
Good Morning Hannie,
Well, the list is not too short.
It is obvious they have not read/understood your post.
English is lousy, too many mistakes, not using any spell checker.
The typical standard things like: Wow, great post you have here. I have learned a lot from it. I will share it with my friends and family, I will put it on Facebook, etc.
50% comment and 50% feedback.
Repeating your post in a nutshell. Putting nothing personal in the comment.
A standard comment that can be used for any post with just changing a few words.

Is there just one way of indexing or two?
When I go to Goggle Webmasters Tools I can request an index for my article. If I am a day behind it often is already indexed.
Hi Hannie, what I have noticed is when you do get the e-mail from WA you will also see the G in site content colored in. This gives me more confidence, that my post has been indexed. When I do not get the confirmation e-mail it does concern me.
Best wishes,
Michael
Hannie, the system here isn't that accurate, it's best to do it yourself. Just type the following into Google (change the domain name obviously)
site:domainname.com
Hi - the email comes from WA, not Google, and only if you use Site Content to publish your post. It has never been very reliable, and I prefer to check myself.
That's not what I mean Abie. I know at the moment I can't request an index myself because then we get this message, but like I said, be a day late and it says it's indexed. And then still I can get a message about being indexed weeks later.
I noticed that after such a message the clicks go up.
And also that I get this email just occasionally.
Do you use site content, you can check there if the G is highlighted on the documents in question.
You could also go type your domain in incognito (private browsing) in google search and it will list all the posts that had been indexed.

Hey Hannie,
Not exactly certain whether you are wondering why you are not being notified of comments to posts you publish here on WA, or comments you make here on WA... or... if you want to know who leaves comments on your website.
To be able notified of ANYONE leaving a comment on my websites, I use the following: Notify Those Who Commented on Your Blog That You Responded To turn ON your WA notifications, simply go to your Account Settings: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/home/my_profile scroll way down to Email Notification Settings, to the right of the very bottom "Notifications" you will see a text link titled "Edit". Click on that link and review your settings to make sure you receive the notifications you want to receive.
Once ANY changes are made to your notification settings, be sure to click on the Save Changes button.
Hope you find this helpful.
Hi Trish, this wasn't what I meant, but useful information anyhow. So thank you for your extensive answer :)
The Give & Take thread is just that, it is not a comment exchange thread, although a lot of members do use it this may.
The rules of the thread are as follows:
**********
Step 1: Comment on at least 3 websites
Step 2: Post a link to your page or post that you need comments on at the very top of this discussion (as a new comment)
Make sure you do not skip step one. It is important and it will lead you to getting more comments on your website. :)
**********
Based on the above it is not a leave one comment to receive one comment back from the same member, it is leave three comments on websites and receive as many comments as possible on your own post.
If you want to treat this as an exchange system, one-for-one, then you can use the Ctrl+F function to search the post for the members name, in order to find their post that they want a comment left on.
Hope this helps
