Do I need to have access to wealthy affiliate every time I need to access my web page?

No. You can manually login to your website using the link http://yourdomainname.com/wp-admin
Just change the yourdomainname with your own domain name. Then, login with the credentials given by WA.
I chose a template to work with and its super confusing for me to set up is it my choice of template or do I need more training?
For sure some are easier than others and some are more restricted. So even though the advice would be don't change too often in practice it will take you five or six goes to get what you want. However be aware all of these teething problems are in the early days of building a first site you can do it much faster the second time around. Don't give up
If you are going to make big changes to your site or change your template/theme, it's best done in the early stages of your website-building. Otherwise you can potentially lose a lot of your settings and your work. Regular back-ups are also important!

I just returned to wealthy affiliate after 11 months, i cannot find my domains or websites? please help?
Where To Find Tech Support When you leave wealthy affiliates you have one month to arrange alternative hosting. It may well be that support has a backup though I doubt it after that period of time. You can always build another site and then import from your own private backup.

It's my understanding that they are only kept for 30 days in which time we are able to back them up.
