The life of an article on the Big 3 - increase traffic at your website
How does a ranking article life look like?
It pretty much looks like on the picture above or below (same picture).
When you publish an article it is almost as giving birth to a child - First it must learn to crawl- stand and then to run - An article is Starting on zero living an online life not unlike a baby.
The goal and fulfillment of the article is to rank on first page on Google, Bing And Yahoo - The Big 3 and to be of value of the readers.
It lives a different life in all of these worlds. I think the picture a portray this well.
This specific article is an older article of mine that have been slowly climbing on Google.From February to April it was not ranking. Now it is on Page1 position 6 on google and Page one position 1 on Google and Yahoo. It is now up and running.
As you all know well from your own lives. It goes up and down. So will an articles life do too.
Maybe my article will fall and get hurt. It can raise again and fall again.
I actually did not think it would rank. That I had not done a good enough job with the keywords.
The thing is - It needed time to stand up and start running.
This is to me a very good example of how SEO works in general and how well the training at Wealthy affiliate really work.
And my point is?
Be patient and work consistently. Do not be obsessed by numbers and statistics. An article can live multiple lives on Google, Bing And Yahoo and generate traffic to your website.

Great post Hilde. Sometimes if you see a post isn't ranking if you rework it or update it so it's more relevant it gets ranked.
