We all start on Zero

When I started at Wealthy affiliate learning how to set up a website for search engines and monetize my website by joining affiliate programs. I had zero leads and zero sales. I knew nothing about affiliate marketing and how to do this.

The Key

I learned that the key to getting leads and sales is traffic to your website and using SEO to generate traffic.

My leads are constantly increasing thanks to the training at Wealthy Affiliate and my daily practice of what I have learned here. Last blog in june when I wrote about this topic I had 19 Leads.

2 of these leads had turned into conversions or sales that have generated a small sum.

It was a start.Today I checked my stats again and my leads have now increased to 127. It was quite exciting to see the huge increase in just a month. From 19 to 127. That is 108 more leds than last month.

What is a marketing lead?

I know there are some who might not know what a lead is. A marketing lead is someone who are more likely to buy your product. Someone who clicks on your links and sign up for a free trial is a marketing lead or a referral. They are in a decision process whether or not to buy. This can take some time.

However many affiliate networks use cookies of different lengths to determine commissions, EPC etc. If the customer buys the product within this timeframe you are elligible for a commission of the sale. Some also give you commission per lead.

Not all leads will be sales. But Leads can be a good indication that you are moving in the right direction.

It is a process

If you have just started your website you should know that making money from your website will take time, constant work and practice

It is a process where you offer your visitors something of value or something useful .They often want to gather information and try before deciding buying a product. Just like you probably do yourself.

Building a foundation

I am still building the foundation for my website. Trying to add as much value and helpful content as I can to my visitors. It is nice to see your traffic is growing almost daily. And it is great to see how OEC training and Affiliate Bootcamp really works when you follow the training and do the tasks.
