The Know, Like, and Trust factor

One thing I heard from the very start of my affiliate marketing Journey was that everything had to do with the know, like and trust factor. Your affiliate marketing success depends on it.

Have you thought about that?

Just thought I wanted to share some thoughts about this today.

Well so what does this really mean for you as an affiliate marketer?

And how do you as a new affiliate marketer get people to know, Like and Trust you?

Know

What does it mean for a new affiliate marketer? No one knows you exist online.

That is where your website comes into the picture.

It helps you build the know factor you need.

Your website is a meeting place for you and your potential audience.

You write a post and add it to your website. No one reads it. No one knows you.

You keep on Writing. You learn SEO techniques so people will find you online when they search for information.

People start reading your post and some people find your content interesting.

Some may even comment on your posts and this way they learn more about you.

You add a contactform on your website so people can contact you and subscribe to your email list to get to know you even more.

Knowing is an interest growing into a liking over time.

Knowing is way tor your audience to check out if you can help them solve a problem in a way they feel can be of benefit for them.

Knowing is investigating you and your content to see if you are real and serious about what you do.

Knowing is a curiosity between you and your audience and the communication that is created between you.

Knowing is reaching your audience and connecting with them in one way or another.

But knowing is not the same as liking.

Like

What does it take for someone to like you?

It may be that you have inspired them or given them some good ideas.

Liking may be you helped someone solve a problem.

It may be the way you write or the topic tou write about

Sometimes common experiences can make people like you.

Other things can be that you are real and unique and not perfect. You are simply as human as they are.

You are available and approachable when they need your help.

Or maybe you offer something special that no one else does.

But liking is not the same as trusting.

Trust

What does it take for someone online to trust you?

Well if you feel someone is there for you you are more likely to trust them.

That you are there over time for them and take care of them.

You are giving them a feeling of security and are able to solve their issues.

Experience is another trust factor because people often trust people who have experience or expertise in a field or with a problem.

Keeping promises and following up your audience in different ways will improve the trust.

If you help help someone to get results that make a huge difference for them it will most likely build trust.

How do you know if people trust you?

Do they trust you if they buy something from you? Not necesserily ....

But if they keep on retutning to your website and if they keep reading your emails and if they keep buying from you, share your content and refer you to others and ask you for help then you may say you have built a good level of trust.

The power of your website

So, as an affiliatemarketer you need to constantly have this in mind when you write your content, answer questions or helping people online if you want to succeed.

Never underestimate the power of your blog or your website, emails or social media when it comes to build the know, like and trust factor. They are all very important itools n different ways.

What do you think is the most important thing for you to do in your online business right now to improve the know, like and trust factor?

Hi, Hilde

Great post!

I updated my guitar website 2 days by building a static homepage that I think will improve all three factors.

It’s an ongoing & never ending process! 😊

Frank

I'll just keep writing on my book promo website, Hilde, and soon, I'll release it out there! An excellent post, indeed!
