Hi everyone!

Today I want to tell you about my PPC and Solo Ads experiments and share with you my valuable lessons that actually costed me som money.

But If you are like me - Sucking at doing PPC then listen closely.

My PPC and Solo Ads experiments and lessons

PPC means Pay Per Click.

First time I heard about PPC was here at WA in the Affiliate Bootcamp.

I went through the training, but I did not start any PPC campaign.

I was scared to loose money and I felt I did not really understand the PPC world well enough.

But after 18 months at WA I have learned a lot.

I actually did my first PPC run with Bing Ads some months ago.It did not go very well unfortunately. I got no clicks at all.

I have paused it and will work on optimizing it.

Lesson1: No clicks.

I was approached by a vendor who promised me 49% Optinrate on 500 Clicks on Solo Ads.

I tried it on a landingpage I knew normally performs well.

I was disappointed - Only 3 optins on 500 Clicks and I complained.

Afterwards I found out that this vendor is using old lists and an old software. Not Fresh quality lists.

But since I was new to all of this I was doomed to make the huge mistake because I did not know what to ask the vendor about.

Lesson 2: Research your vendor. Ask where the traffic comes from

I tried Facebook Ads before I started in WA on an online course I had, but it was costly and did not give the result I had expected at the price even with targeted ads.I felt I was just throwing money out the window. With that experience in mind I have been reluctant to using FB ads.

Lesson 3: Spend as little as you can to get maximum results.

A person I trust told me about an awsome method to PPC that made him rich. I am now learning this method and hope it will work.

He told me that I had to be very careful who I bought my traffic from.

I got some good tips on High converting Solo Ads vendors he recommended.

He also told me the WA training on PPC is very good and if you master this method you can do really good with PPC.

Lesson 4: Listen to people who made good results

In June I ran my second Solo Ad campaign. But this time from another vendor I was recommended. I got 100% clicks, 2,65% optinrate which was not good.

The vendor told me it was strange and after looking into the matter it seemed I did a huge mistake when adding the links to the offer.

This was a huge lesson for me.I thought I had it all right before I started.I had followed the script and thought I had done evrything correct. It was my own mistake.

Lesson 4: We all do mistakes. Move on. Learn from them. Check your links :)

In July I ran a new Solo Ad Campaign for 48 hours. it was a split test I got 107 clicks, 42,99% optin rate as an end result which is pretty good. And 46 conversions..And I made my first solo ad sales.

I am very happy with these results.

Lesson 5: Never give up - What you look for you will find.

Solo Ads are great to build a list, but you need a solid growth plan and a good vendor to succeed with it.

You also need to constantly run the ads to have a fresh list. One time is not enough.

I am still in the learning process about PPC and Solo Ads and I want to get better at it.

However SEO is still my favorite traffic source because it is evergreen and free.

Lesson 6: Make a solid growth plan.

This is one of the most important things I do now. Creating a growth plan.

Keeping track of numbers and optimizing.

I will go through the WA PPC training again because I want to learn how succeed with the WA method to PPC.

That is all for now.I hope what I shared will serve you well

My journey will continue and I will keep you updated.

You are so brave, Hilde.

I have not ventured into PPC and paying for ads.
Organic traffic is working well and I am sticking with that for a while.

When I earn enough to invest in PPC and paid ads (and for me, that should come out of my profits for reinvesting) I will venture out.

Well done!
Wishing you much more success.

Not entered yet Cassi, only tried out a few times to get experience. Clinging mostly to SEO myself. But want to learn how to do evrything.

Same here, Hilde.

We will get there.
Of that I am certain.

Enjoy your day.

Whooaa,
Thanks for sharing, as you said a few days back, we should indeed share more of these stories.

This is good stuff. I will be sending you a PM soon Hilde, my dear successful entrepreneur taking the lead "wink" 🤣 Learning from those who have done it is key here.

Hoping for more successes from you 🌞 👍

Yes I said so. I hve shared my progress since day one. Chris 🌞 👍

Hi Hilde
Lots of valuable lessons shared here.
I think solo ads depend very much on the quality of the seller.
(I saw your review of the seller on FB and the guy you used seems to be one of the better ones).
I tried solo ads once using a seller from udimi and the results were quite disappointing. I was more successful with FB ads, but as you say - the cost can mount up.

PPC can definitely be a minefield but you are right to test it and then refine.

Good luck
Dave

You are right! It is a risk unless you have money to spend and a good plan. I am very happy with my results so far, but have not yet decided to go bigger with it yet. Just xperimenting so far.

I guess providing you are learning from those experiences which it certainly does look like you are doing, then success is just around the corner.

With Solo Ad, you have to question just what are in these lists and most people in that niche will just take your money without a 2nd thought.

How often are they refreshed and who are they sending your offer to.

A bit of a grey area but find the right Solo ad provider and you could be onto something.

Thank you for sharing Hilde.

Cheers
Mick
