How to write 70 website Articles in 5 months

Today marks my 5th month at Wealthy affiliate and I have until now published 70 articles or posts on my website. And 77 posts on my blog. When I started on the free trial I had not written a single website article on more than a couple of hundred words. Now I am up to between 2000- 3000 words per article.

It does not matter if it is 70 articles or 200- the number is irrelevant really. What is relevant is how you manage to write consistently.

So to write 70 articles or 200 articles I learned through the Wealthy Affiliate training that setting a weekly and a monthly goal and hold yourself accountable for this goal.

I started out with a goal of writing 3 artcles a week. There will be weeks you do not manage to write the goal you set for yourself and you may need to adjust on the way. Up or down.

But having your weekly goal is important. Write it down now if you do not have a weekly goal.

When you have a weekly goal it is easier to be consistent too.

Do you have a weekly writing goal?

This is something I've struggled with and have been with Wealthy Affiliate since 2018. I'm a meticulous kind of guy and like detail, so even when I set out to write a quicker blog in sections it ends up being bigger. As the training states though there is no short or long, just finish the article when you feel you have reached the end.

Not only does the idea of content have to come into play, the actual writing, layout, presentation, images and links all just take time. Thankfully due to COVID-19 I am furloughed off work and have managed to put time into frequent articles which you can see by what's been produced these past few months alone - but I ain't no where near 70 posts.

I ought to start listing ideas for articles and keep checking them off once done and take your advice with set goals, say two complete per week, that's everything - images, links, affiliate stuff etc. I'll keep your suggestion and advice in mind, as I've just finished another one today.

Keep on keeping-on and we will get there...

Congrats on finishing your post! I know all the details can be distracting. To be meticoulos is good. Your blogs do not need to be perfect to every detail. I think you can do two a week and still be meticoulous enough.

That's what I think I'll aim for while still at home. I've already been creating a list of topics to write about and fill out some of my empty tabs in my menu structure, so at least there's something to read.

Sounds great!

Good morning Hilde,

I hope you're doing well. Thank you for your post, that's quite an achievement, especially as you've only been at Wealthy Affiliate for five months. I wonder where you will be in 12 months from now?!

I think it's great to have weekly goals that are manageable, I was aiming at 4 to 5 blog posts per week. However, due to my off-line business being so busy, the number is greatly reduced at the moment. I think the off-line business has now peaked and hopefully, I will soon be back on target again.

Have a great day and keep up the great work.

Roy

Good evening Roy! I certainly understand that having an offline business in addition to WA will demand a lot of effort and time too. Nothing wrong with adjusting down. You make the priorities that serves you the best.

Good morning Hilde,

My off-line business is slightly seasonal, so this time of year. I tend to work fairly long days, although, as I mentioned, I think we have peaked now.

You are right, we have to get our priorities in order, I think next year I may have to make a few changes as I want to be consistent, as in growing my online business.

Have a great day.

Roy

Very well written- I couldn’t agree more.

I shoot for 2 posts per week. Some weeks can be a challenge, where I end up only writing one. But I manage to post every week regardless of. Consistency is key- if you can’t do that, it’s going to take much longer to see real results.

An excellent post- congrats on that little milestone. You’ve accomplished a lot during your first 5 months.

Thanks for sharing- all the best!

Thank you Eric!

I think that writing consistently can improve anyone's goal. It becomes second nature over time. Most people who do not write their ideas down while thinking about them, will forget or lose interests. Then, when someone comes up with that idea or ideas later, the thoughts of regrets kicks in. I may not write a lot here, but my written ideas are my golden nuggets which cannot be shared. One of my goals is to succeed through W.A. which is on a different level. W.A. is my foundation to a great start. You can learn a lot here and apply a lot. I will try to put in more writing. Thanks for sharing.

You are so right! consistency is the key. I believe Goals makes it easier to stay consistent. When you know what to do it is easier to do it. I can only speak for myself on this matter. Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Hi Hilde,

Setting goals is vital to your success! There is something real about writing down your goals. It is as though you are breathing life into them. Yes, I set weekly goals. Sometime I accomplish them while others times I don't. Thanks for the great reminder!
Wishing you the very best!

Kind regards,
Nichola

You are welcome!
