How to be productive when you have more than one job?

I am sure you can relate to this. I guess it is not only me who have more than my WA website to work with. This last weeks I have really had to put Time management on my agenda and focus, focus, focus on the main things to get things done. I have my own way to be more productive - a mix of my own and things I have learned that I want to share with you.

Time

Making the best out of your time is really important when you are juggling between being an affiliate marketer and a health worker. My goal is of course to work full time with my affiliate website, but that is not an option at the moment. So what is the alternative? Yes - to manage my time better.

3 Priorities

This I learned when attending to a free online course called the ahievement accellerator with Brendon Burchard a few years ago. Mindset and Planning is a major part of it.

Everyday set 3 goals and do 3 tasks. I have customized it a bit to my own life :

My daily 3 things goals are: do the 3 tmost important asks, help /follow 3 newbies, comment on 3 blogs, watch 3 videos of Jay, give 3 website comments, 3 things to be grateful for, connect with 3 persons

My weekly 3 things are: Write and post 3 posts/articles. These last weeks I have adjusted it down to 2, Write 3 Adgroups , Learn 3 new things, Do 3 things that make me happy, Do 3 new things

Monthly 3 things goals
: 3 absolute things that needs to be done this month :

Write weekly posts

Schedule social media

Check monthly analytics

Checklists

Being the daughter of a Pilot I am accustomed to checklists. Check this, check that. Double check this and Double check that. Anyone with a pilot in the family understand what I mean. But checklists are incredibly helpful. Even Jay are using checklists. Lol. Anyway it is a great tool to get things done.

Be your own mentor

Ask your self daily, weekly and monthly :If I was a mentor to myself and should give myself a good advice what would that advice be?

My advice this week: Do more and make every day count.

Hi Hilde,

I always love reading your posts! There’s no doubt about it, you are a human dynamo! It’s obvious to me why you will succeed with affiliate marketing in a big way.

I also have multiple jobs so I know what you are up against. If I was your doctor I would tell you that it’s important to leave yourself some non-productive time to do nothing or to do the things you really enjoy, and I did notice that you listed it above. You are a very driven person so please don’t ever underestimate the importance of doing this on a regular basis.

Each week ask yourself, did I remember to add “Frank’s Happy Time” into my schedule? :-)

Fraank! You made me smile now! Lool.:) I will add Franks Happy time into every week! I promise!

Just call it FHT. :-)

I will!

I love this and its spot on in doing what you can and planning for it. I am learning that. As an aside I was really inspired by Brendon, I read a few of his books and he has a process for everything but it a good way.

I still follow his framework for "how to create anything" which I thought was really useful. Thanks for the reminder of that.

Thank you Phil. Brendon have been a huge inspiration for me too.Like you say . He does it in a simple and good way that works. Yes he always have his 5 step plans for everything. Lol. But He is just Awesome.

I am a great Brendon fan also, I find him practical, down to earth but very dynamic. He seems to be a VERY disciplined person.

I agree he is amazing and so simple to follow what he says

VERY disciplined

Yes. As he use to say: honor the struggle

Excellent advice as always Hilde!
You have certainly got a lot on your daily schedule so just be sure you don't end up getting burn-out by trying to do too much.

I am much less active on WA now for this very reason. A few months ago when I was an ambassador I sort of felt that it was important to spend time every day helping others, commenting etc. I found that this was impacting my productivity on my own business which is why I made the decision to focus on that instead.

I will go back to helping others when my business allows me to do so.

Learning to be a good time manager and become more productive are certainly essential skills for online marketers.

All the best
Dave

Thank you Dave! Do not worry. I take time to self kindness in between. I always walk for an hour everyday no matter what to get my mind off and inhale some nature. And I have my daily exercises. I make sure I sleep 8 hours. I must admit I have not been much of a helper lately. I had to focus on my own things. Good to see you back in here Dave!

Great advice Hilde. Everyday does count, including and especially Tranquil Thursday. Thanks for sharing.

Greg

Greg you are so right - even the more peaceful days count.
