What is an affiliate marketing momentum? and How do you Build an Affiliate momentum?

I often see in comments when someone got a referral or a sale that people comment: Great! you are gaining momentum. I got the comments myself too. But is that really true?

I was asked by one of my signups who did not know what momementum is to explain it to him.

So I started to explain, and while I explained it in an easy manner that Momentum means massive growth, a lot of questions popped up in my own mind regarding this.

What is an affiliate marketing momentum?

After doing some research I can sum it up in one sentence:

An affiliate marketing momentum is exceptional massive growth over a longer period of time that generate consistent sales and profits. It is like a self fed animal when first set in motion.

It is like the jungle telegraph on super stereoids.

Affiliate marketing Momentum spikes

I also found out that it is important to separate Momentum spikes from the momentum.

Doing 30 sales in a row or getting 100 referrals in a week is not a momentum but more or less a momentum spike. An indicator on something that grows within a short timespan.

How do you measure an affiliate marketing Momentum?

My next question was - How do you measure an affiliate momentum? Do you know?

There are many ways to measure this:Sales, Profit and Customers are the most common ways to measure it.

How do you build an affiliate marketing momentum?

  2. Traffic

Building up an affiliate marketing momentum with WA

Creating a website with WA and going through the training here is the first step in building an online affiliate marketing momentum. The foundation. This training is priceless when it comes to build a solid foundation for an affiliate marketing momentum.

Are you gaining momentum or just experience momentum spikes?

After doing my research I can safely say I am building up for a momentum. I have had a few momentum spikes now and then. But I need to work on getting consistent growth, sales and profits. Where would you say you are now?

Are you ready for a real momentum?

I also asked myself. Am I ready for a real momentum? And it raised a lot of interesting thoughts and ideas.

I know the market for affiliate marketing is huge. I do have some affiliate offers that sell, but are they superior enough?

I do have traffic, but is it enough to create a momentum?

The customers I have seems to me to be happy with the products.

Am I prepared to handle a massive influx of referrals, signups, sales and growth?

Do I have all the needed structures in place to handle a real momentum?

My goal this year was definitely to grow and I am quite happy with growing sure but slowly at the moment because I am not so sure if at this point in time I am ready for a real massive snowball momentum. I had a great growth curve though.

Are you ready?

Of course I would love to get a real momentum. Who wouldn`t? but it will not do me any good if I am not ready to handle it.

But I am glad I got this question because it made me think on how to progress forward and what actions to take.

I have been planning for growth this year, but I do not think I had thought so far as to plan for a real massive momentum.

So now I am focusing on building a strategy and structures to handle a real momentum as well. The training in WA will definitely serve me well in doing so.

Hi Hilde,
Thank you for sharing your insights on the value of planning and strategies. But what's also important is that when things move a little slowly, we shouldn't fall into the trap of thinking that our business just won't succeed. Continuing to work hard and move forward leads to growth and momentum in the business.
Kind regards,
Shahin

I totally agree with you Shahin. Success is so many things. Not just a momentum.

Spot on, Hilde! I have asked the same thing myself, and at the moment while leads are joining my email list and my team, I see that the plan and structure I have created will not support a massive momentum when it occurs.

I need to re-structure and the process has been going on for the last couple of weeks.

Roy
