How To Write a Blog Post Post Fast

Did you ever wonder how long you need to set aside to write a blog? I was listening to a very interesting podcast about growth hacking (that's another topic for another day) and the person who was interviewed mentioned that he only spends 10 minutes writing his blogs.

He then shares them with other marketers and encourages them to add comments and their tips or suggestions and it becomes a much longer blog.

Did you know that Google counts comments as feedbacks with your original content to rank your blog? So if you have written 500 words and you have another 500 words in comments then that counts as a 1000 word blog as far as Google is concerned.

What started me on this line of thought was the fact that I happened to pick up a book just now which I have published and read a couple of chapters. Then I asked myself why I wasn't writing consistently as I used to do when I wrote the book. My excuse was time.

So i decided to see if I too could write a blog in 10 minutes - so here it is. Hope you enjoy it and it helps you to write more content than you are doing currently. Who knows -you might even end up writing a book. There's nothing to stop you doing that. You do have the time. Even if you don't enjoy writing you can record it and get it transcribed on Fiverr.

BTW - Just realised that his post is similar to my last one, so it goes to show that writing is on my mind - time for another book!

Wow, thank you for sharing that! I don't doubt that writing a blog in 10 minutes is doable. I'm getting better at writing especially writing longer content of at least 1500 words. I just want to start pumping out more content consistently like say 3 or more posts a week. I'm at 1 to 2 a week currently and I'm looking to increase that. Traffic went up quite a bit the last 2 days, but took a nose dive today.

I'm getting some revenue though from AdSense and I actually earned $1.00 from them today even though traffic kind of tanked today so I'm pretty excited about that. I know that if I keep working, things will get even better.

Congratulations on your consistency with content creation. I have a lot of content but I don't spend enough time syndicating it.

I always spend too much time on my articles and blog posts. But I do seem to be getting the hang of it.

I spend too much time writing a blog or article. I should time myself for 10 minuets to see how far I get. It usually takes me 10 minuets to clear my head enough to continue writing for a rough draft.

You do bring out some good points to speed up the process and break in small chunks.

Great point. thanks
Sandy

Hi,

I really appreciate this tip and hope to reciprocate the favour.

Kindly,

Becky

This is an interesting tip. I've noticed it takes me less time to write on of my WA blogs than it does sometimes for me to write one for my website. My last one was over 2000 words and took me most of the day to complete. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you for the blog. Good to know Google adds it all up.

A blog in 10 minutes...that calls for some serious caffeine!

As far as Google recognizing comments as comments - that's fine either way.
I feel the benefits of communicating with others - even if it is only a short comment - far outweigh the burden of trying to figure out fickle Google's next move!

Susan

some say comments are with in what google uses for ranking and some says it doesn't. All comments really do is update your blog and bump the last modified to the top.

I am not sure anymore if comments count. I would say they do, but Google has become smarter too about what to take with on index and what not.

I think we could discuss it to end, or we can spend more time writing some more words ;)

Steven

I suppose if anyone doubts that comments help with blog ranking they could experiment by removing the comments on a post that is already ranked. However I choose to believe some SEO experts that I rank highly :)
