There're many theme and template companies out there, But I'm seeing this there're also many people leveraging free themes that are creating SERIOUS businesses.
I seen will not indicate whether or not you have a serious business, the quality of the content will and there are a lot of beautiful free themes out there that you can choose from.

You can utilize paid themes here within your website/hosting platform, they will work fine and you will be able to upload them within your WordPress admin area without issue.
