iv done all the steps to transfer my siterubbix site to my domain. Its been a day now and the site is still scheduled to be transferred. is this normal?

Yes, it will normally take one to two days. File a ticket if the transfer has not done after 48 hrs.
It doesn't take that long to 'move' a siterubix site within WA to an owned domain. As Marion says, a few minutes at the most.
Usually this is caused by the Domain name not being added.
