OUR COMMON BOND.

Although we all share a common bond (the community and striving to produce great success), I want to take it a step farther. What can be deeper than that?

WE INHERIT CHARACTER.

Well, it is like this--think of your own family, having all the assets shared at becoming a deep-rooted heritage---lived out through each generation. The forefathers of the past have paved the way for emotions shared today within each family. People inherit many traits from past family members throughout each generation, even our character.

YOUR FAMILY TREE.

Thinking about it now, I can name several traits I've inherited from my parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. They all mold me into who I am and what I stand for. There was and is a tremendous spirit within my family tree that has risen up in me and onto my immediate family. All these traits make you who you are, possessing bits and pieces from each member down through the years. It's truly amazing to think about!

WE ALL STEM FROM THE SAME CLOTH.

So, what does this mean for all of us here within our current "heritage?" When you think about it, we all stem from the same cloth. Though everyone's family is different, we are also the same in many, many ways.

WE CAN RISE UP WITH INTEGRITY.

Gathered together within the heart of a great industry here at WA, we have kindness, spirit, strength, determination, excellence, integrity, drive, motivation, knowledge and the power to take all these traits and make us who we are as a community. We've inherited these traits from past and older members.

Here, we build each other up---not tear each other down.

We help each other with advice and encouragement---not put each other down with negativity.

It is in this community that we live and breath success and power.

Our family is a united force of that power. Let's get into the mindset of effortless character and bring each other to our own source of greatness.

Erin :)!

Motivational and inspirational! Great guidance! A great carpenter has his pieces fit together seamlessly, and sands down each piece accordingly with precision, removing all splinters or slightly rough edges. Sometimes there is a knot in the wood that requires a little more finesse but never thrown away as that knot adds character and properly seasoned, adds greater strength.
A community of burled wood we are

I absolutely LOVE that unique comparison and analogy, my dear! Beautifully created in your mind! I could envision the whole process!

Thanks Erin, I enjoyed your piece

I'm so glad, Trevor! :)!

Very admirable Erin, this reminds me of Birds of one feather stay together and we are this community....

Yes, and I like to think of us as eagles! Thank you, kindly!

I really really love your Post Erin , negative words never encourage, they destroy... your posts states clearly that you have a great sense of humor.

I thank you for that, Nkhosingiphile! Stop by again!

well stated, Erin.

Thank you kindly, Steven!!

Wonderful post! It is everyone in your life that makes you who you are. I enjoy the encouragement here and the positivity as it does keep me determined and striving for my goals and dreams.

Thanks, Dena! Being positive is the only way to live! XOXO!

I'll just add this little story before I comment on your post.
My,then, six year old grandson started eating cheese and apricot jam (jelly) sandwiches. It has for most of my life been one of my staples. When his mother 9my daughter) asked him where he got the idea for it, he said "it just came into my head"
Okay, now back to the post.

It is my belief a community is only as strong as its weakest member. It doesn't matter how big or small that community is, or who considers themselves to be part of that community. It can be as small as a couple or as large as the population of a country. The only way we, as a community become stronger is to better the situation of the individuals within that community.
This is one of the most supportive communities I have had the pleasure to be part of, and I've been in a few during my life.

Priceless story, Graham! I can picture it happening and it relates to my post perfectly! That is exactly my point in a nutshell! May I cut and paste your first paragraph to my post? Pleeease?! It will add so much! I will quote it and add your name.

I use to watch a TV game show called WEAKEST LINK. It reminded me of your your above line and description.

See you around again, I'm sure!

Erin :)!

Of course you have my permission
