TOP O' THE MORNIN' TO YA!

Well, with me being Irish (Erin Go Bragh--Ireland Forever!), and with St. Patrick's Day coming up this weekend, I thought it only fitting that I bring about that ole Irish spirit! Bring on the corned beef and cabbage!

WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT--BUT ALIKE.

Although there are many different races and nationalities within the Wealthy Affiliate community, we are all bonded by ethics and heart. There is a great deal of unity here that expresses sincereity and dedication. Although each one of us is molded differently, we are all alike in many respects.

WE ARE AMAZING!

First and foremost is our character. I have never experienced as much outreach and love in any other community or organization as I have here! (Non-Virtual speaking, too!) There is a certain synergy that is overtaken by motivation and momentum--that it's highly contageous!

No matter how far apart we are in the world, how diverse we appear in our skintones or the way we look---WE ARE ALL IRISH ON MARCH 17th!! After all--besides helping others--WE ARE HERE FOR THE GOLD!

HAPPY ST. PADDY'S DAY TO ALL YOU LEPRECHAUNS! MAY the LUCK O' THE IRISH BE WITH YOU!

What is YOUR heritage? How do YOU celebrate this holiday?--An Irish dinner perhaps? Green beer? (LOL) Wearing Green? Listening to songs like Sweet Molly Malone, When Irish Eyes are Smiling, My Wild Irish Rose or maybe some Dropkick Murphys? TELL ALL!

Erin :)!

A little bit of Irish here, love corn beef and cabbage, don' like green beer (or any beer) must be the part that isn't Irish, lol.

Yeah, sounds like it!

Corned beef and cabbage, love that. We have that 4-5 times a year. Not Irish at all.

I do, too! Ha ha! Have fun!

I have a strong Irish heritage. All of my great grandparents emigrated to the US from Ireland.

But, these days I can't help but have a good chuckle at the Corned Beef and Cabbage tradition..

I'm now retired, but we had 2 employees at the last company I worked for who were both recent Irish emigrants (35+ years old). Both were astonished to learn of the St. Patrick's Day traditional meal of corned beef and cabbage. It seems they'd never eaten it in Ireland, lol, and had no idea where the tradition came from.

Oh well, Irish tradition or not, I"m sure I'll tip a green beer!

Much success and have a great day!

LOVE your story! I'm amazed at learning that wasn't a real Irish tradition. Oh, well--it is now! I'll tip that beer and think of you this weekend--although I rarely drink it! Love the dark ale, though--the darker, the better!

Great post Erin, it’s the power of unity that brings about so much blessings. I love this community and is you rightfully said the genuineness is visible.
Happy St Patrick’s day to you too. Maybe celebration will be something to think about for next year lol.

Dear, Sweet, Lilian—You have used the most perfect words to voice your opinion. Superb!

Amen!!! Beautiful reply, Pat!!

Green beer is not Irish. Have a Guiness, it is good for you. In fact, have another for me.

Dark beer is my fav. Don't know when the last time it was green, though!

Dear Erin,

I am half Irish and half Scottish so I often feel like:

"I am fightin' amongst me-selfs!"

My birth-name was Holly!

My voice is high and sing-song and I love both the Irish and Scottish accents - I pick up on both when around native speakers!

We are story-tellers and poets! We love to write! WA is the perfect place for us!

Thank you for this post!

Perfect response! I read that with an accent! Haha--you bring out the Irish and Scottish in me, too! My full name is Heather Erin Conley (maiden name). I go by Erin (thanks to my Dad!) My mother was Scottish mostly--and German. We ARE story-tellers and writers, I agree!

You are Heather and I am Holly!

2 peas in a pod!

Kindred spirits!

Amen to that! Yayyyy! My new best friend! I love Canada!

One green beer for me please!

Haha! I'll second that!

Irish!!!! I actually qualify for dual citizenship with Ireland!

I got to visit Ireland in 2004 with my Irish Grandma, aunt and Great Aunt. It was great to finally see Ireland with my own eyes and see where my Grandma grew up! We went to Dublin, Newgrange (older than Stonehenge and aligned astronomically as well as still watertight after thousands of years!), Glendalough (a monestary community on a mountain lake surrounded by sheep which was gorgeous), Killarney, Killmallock, Waterford, Cork (where I got to see the Merchant of Venice performed live along the canals), Kinsale (cutest little port town ever), the Dingle Peninsula (gorgeous) and more.

We stayed with my Mom's cousins all over the country and met more relatives than I knew I had!

Both my Grandmas are Irish in fact but only one was born and raised in Ireland.

So yes, I am Irish!

I just bought a corned beef tonight in preparation!

Hugs to you Irish Erin!
Jessica

WOWEE, GIRL! I GUESS SO!

That truly sounds like an amazing trip! Both my girls went to Ireland with their dad. They stayed in a castle and even kissed the Blarney Stone! It is on my bucket list of places to visit and has always been my dream to go and see my heritage, too. I am praying that I will be able to some day soon with the income I create here!

Thanks for naming ALL THINGS IRISH in your reply. It gave me chills!

It is so funny that the Irish don't actually eat corned beef! I like it anyway though!

Nice to hear such pleasant comments about my country - thank you!

You are very welcome! My family is proud of their Irish roots on both sides of the family. Many Americans have a soft spot for the Ireland! Of course there are so many millions of us with Irish Ancestry!

Where in Ireland are you located Paul?
Jessica

I am doing my Ancestry DNA test...anxious to see what else in the mix. I know it will be mostly Irish but there should be some German, English and possibly a tad of French too. And who knows what else!

I will have to tell you the story of my very famous and scandalous great, great, great aunt...she was world renowned..and originally from Ireland. At one point she was mistress to the King of Bavaria. He made her a Countess...before they had to flee the country! She went on to be a dancer around the world including the U.S. and Australia. She was also an author and wrote an interesting book on natural beauty products.

Yeah, but my generation of Irishmen do! xoxo

Love your country, too! Yes, thanks Jess!

OMGosh! DO TELL! LOL! I guess there's must be at least one in every family! Make it a blog post--haha.

I'm pretty much all the ishes! Irish, Scottish, English, Danish, etc.

I was adding to the comment above before I saw your reply. See my expanded comment. Her name was Lola Montez...well that was her stage name. Look her up!

Thanks, Jess--I will right now! xo

Wow! What a life she had. So intriguing--and born in 1821!!

The really interesting part is that my very Catholic family never spoke of her (and most never even knew about her until my young cousin found this out in a family genealogy project just last year). The older members of the family knew she existed but denied we were actually related! It was just not something to be proud of!

I think the shame made them keep it quite to the point that the later generations actually believed we weren't related!

So unbelievable! I bet that was a total surprise during the project! I want to explore my genealogy now! Thanks, I'm going to look into it! Do you use Ancestry dot com?

I would like to know, too!

Yes, I did. I need to get back on it again. I need to redo my Ancestry.com DNA test again too. It didn't work so they sent me a replacement kit to try again.

I wish you well with that!

This reminded me of a time when I showed cash to avoid getting pinched and they said it’s not colored green lol xD

Too funny, Eric!! LOL What are you?
