Good things come to those who-GO!
...TO THOSE WHO WAIT?---NO!
We have all heard that common phrase: "Good things come to those who wait." Well, with all due respect to the author, I have to disagree with his theory. I feel that if we want a better life, it won't simply fall in our laps. We have to go out and embrace it!
LIFE IS A STATE OF MIND.
Whatever we endure in our lives, good or bad, we become stronger for it. Pressing through the difficult times creates integrity within us. Withstanding pain is something we can control, with a great deal of faith in ourselves and endurance. Whatever we think we can do, it gives us permission to do it!
EVERYTHING IS A CHOICE.
We always have a choice in every situation. Nobody can negatively influence us without our permission! We all have a powerful mind of our very own to think wisely and sort out every challenge that we face. By choosing to do good, give it our best shot, do it even when the odds are against us and everyone seems to be coming against our decision--if we feel it in our heart, we should do it.
RISING TO THE TOP.
When experiencing that feeling of excitement, like everything is working in our favor, that's when we know it's OUR TIME TO SHINE!
I WOULDN'T CHANGE A THING!
Living as long as I have and looking back at all the challenges, obstacles, defeat, seemingly endless negative circumstances---I WOULDN'T CHANGE A THING! Why? Because, if I didn't go through the difficulty and persevere, I wouldn't have come to this PRECISE time in my life to rise to the top! I finally feel that all my past accomplishments throughout the years have paid off and I'm finding favor in them all coming together at once--exploding into one---RIGHT HERE, RIGHT NOW.
For the first time in my life, I finally feel like I have a chance for success. As the momentum grows, I sit back and smile--knowing I have come full circle.
Good things come to those who--GO!

I agree with everything you said. We all have a path that we're following whether if it's good or bad. We can't control everything, but we cam control how we handle things.

I agree Erin! I was just thinking of this saying a few days ago and thinking it doesn't seem to be the case anymore. (It probably never was, but my experience was not built up enough to see it).
