Come On In! Can I Get You Anything?

Last Update: February 23, 2019

OPEN FOR BUSINESS

I am really beginning to feel that I'm "open for business" since I've been writing constant quality content on my blog. Making my site inviting and genuine puts the worm on the hook to lure in seekers.

Every single success post I read always enthusiastically states to "Keep on going!" and "Don't give up!" That, "if you push yourself out of your comfort zone to a place of consistent effort, you will get there." And, they all say, "YOU REALLY WILL!"

WELL, I AM BEGINNING TO BELIEVE THEM!

Post after post, I keep the Faith. Post after post I see very little improvement in the way of traffic. Big spurts here and there, but nothing to "write" home about! So, I will now open up to you about it. I began to make my site more inviting along the lines of trendy content and make money online products and services that affiliate marketers and online gurus can relate to in a very interesting fashion. I am not only choosing relatable topics, but keyword rich text. I have been finding the greatest keyword phrases on Jaaxy with really high AVG and TRAFFIC, and really low QSR! This alone is trickling the traffic in. So, it is beginning to work at a more steady pace now!

I am also getting more organic searches and social searches. By using those low QSR Keyword Phrases for both my titles and keywords, things are progressing nicely. Also, by posting each web article link on FB, Twitter and LinkedIn---and pinning each post and photo to Pinterest, this is bringing interested ongoers, too.

Yes, I want my site to scream,

"Come on in! Can I get you anything?"

Offering up some great products and services from vendor links like Viglink, ClickFunnels, Rakuten and ClickBank, to name a few, now gives my site authority and authenticity. I finally feel that I am in charge and have a great handle on things! Rakuten alone pays out $25 to your PayPal account for each referral you send their way!

Yes, Eric -- Yes, Jay -- Yes, Grace -- Yes Eddy! I hear you all loud and clear and will keep on writing away! You all ROCK!

I feel I'm almost there! I can taste the salt air of the ocean!

GIVE YOUR SITE A "TRUST" APPEARANCE

Being up front, open and honest with my "guests" stamps "trustworthy" all over my site! By placing an alert line at the forefront of each post with my Affiliate Disclosure, puts them at ease.

Then, speaking in a tone people can relate to, (the kind of jargen that pulls at their heartstrings) like in the tone of, "Yes, I have been through the same thing!" Show your soft and sympathetic side a bit.

LASTLY, WORK WITH AN ATTITUDE!

You know what I'm talking about! An attitude that shows you are succeeding (with stamina) ---with each and every "T" you cross and "I "you dot. You are the Boss of your website and online business. If you have to give yourself a peptalk, do it!

I actually look forward to each blog I write, wondering where my imagination will take me this time!? Develop that "Come on in!" mentality. Mentally ask your guests, "Can I get you anything? with the things you promote, and show them around!

This journey is TO BE CONTINUED UNTIL I REACH MY ULTIMATE GOAL OF SUCCESS.

Okay, so let's drive this home!

Please LIKE and SHARE, if you wish, to SPREAD THE CONTENT! Thank you!

Erin :)!

I just love your writing, Erin. If your blog posts are half as good, they must be brilliant.

Point me at one and I'll be happy to comment.

I just requested one comment on one of my posts and got seven, so I feel the need to pay it forward :-)

Thanks so much, Phil! You're so sweet. I just happened to read that in the chat!

You will be the first one I ask, Phil. Since it's my Case Study site, I'm not revealing it just yet.

Thanks, Arie! Precisely---however, when the people do start biting (and they WILL), you will need an ocean to accommodate them all!

I LOVE THIS Erin!!! This is one of my favorite posts of your because it is so honest. It shows that it is not just an easy peasy ride to success but that it takes a loooong term commitment and the ability to stay focused, determined and not lose confidence.

I know all about the discouragement that comes with the slow periods. I have been working to be more consistent and produce more content in recent months but the return in traffic and sales is not as dramatic as I wanted. It is picking up so I know I am on the right track. I read where Kyle said it can take 6 months to see the results of our work (or lack of work). I know this will all pay off. I have to be patient and keep at it so I appreciate your post right now. Good for you!!!! Keep it up.

I always did feel we were on the same wavelength, Jessica! When we can get our results to a more steady pace and in a consistent manner, we will definitely get there. I know that we are both doing quite well and are just about there!

It was actually your post about choosing keywords with low QSRs of under 40, so I've been sticking to your method! So happy to bounce ideas and results back and forth!

Thank you Erin. I am feeling pretty down right now due to fighting off the flu etc that is going around. It all makes my auto-immune stuff worse and I feel very stuck in life and with my sites. I have to remind myself I always feel down when I am sick since it magnifies my other challenges and that it will get better.

Aww thanks Erin. I just did something very bold. You would be proud. Our former Lieutenant Governor is one of my connections on LinkedIn (I work for the executive brand of the state government so technically for the Governor). I met our former Governor once (briefly) but not the Lieutenant Gov. Anyway, he has a new job now as the Executive Director of a group that supports commercial fishing in the Bering Sea. That fishery is one of the most productive in the world and is the the largest in North America. Our fisheries are also extremely well managed here and we are proud of that.

My graduate work in is Ocean and Coastal Studies and I did my capstone paper on Ocean Acidification in the Bering Sea. I told him congratulations on the new job and told him I was interested in this new group.

I said I would be interested in any positions that may come up!

We will see what happens!!

Thank you for your thoughts!
