20 Years and 2 Weeks by My Side
CALEE.
Two weeks ago Sunday, my precious little calico kitty, Calee, turned 20 years old. This past Sunday in the early morning hour of 5 am, she passed away quietly in my arms. My heart aches so much, but I know she is at peace. She was the dearest little thing.
It is never easy loosing a beloved pet, as 2 other cats and 1 dog (Whiskee, Sparkee and Odie)--all rescues--passed in my arms, too--all at old ages. We even had a cat (Taffy) growing up who lived to be 26 and who simply just went to sleep one day in his favorite spot.
The love and care you give a pet adds so much happiness to their life and reflects such heartfelt contentment back on those who love them.
Gus and Toulouse, our Mainecoon rescue kitties, continue to add joy to my life daily.
This post was very difficult to bring myself to write, but it was good therapy for me. I wanted to reach out to my family community for comfort. Thanks for listening. :)

Our hearts go out to you Erin. We had 2 Maine Coon boy cats and they were the most incredible animals we have ever had the pleasure to be owned by!
They have been gone 3 years now but we still miss them greatly.
Awww, so sorry for your loss. Yes, they are beautiful animals. We have 2 boy Maine Coons. They are so wonderful. I will never be able to wrap my head around how anyone could abandon them out in the cold. But, fortunately they found their way into our home and found us! Life is so sweet with them around.

We had to put our last cat down this year from 6 cats 3 rescued
3 came like our place moved in . The Sparrows loved their Pellets as did the squirrels .So Really Sympathise for your loss .
When time has passed you will have another Blessing cat /kitten

Hey Erin thinking of you. I lost two of my springer spaniels about four years ago “ little Pete and Parker” and I’m still heartbroken and miss them terribly. I am thinking of you and sending all the love I can muster.

What joy you must have had for twenty years. Your Cale lived a great life thanks to you and if you just close your eyes you will notice that she is still there.

Hi Erin, I feel your pain. My pittbull passed on last year. My wife wanted to get another dog to replace him but just could not. To me the problem is I feel so sad when I lose a pet. My cat gizmo passed away 4 years ago and I still miss him. I even got a tatto of him on my leg.
