English is not my first language. How many of us can say that here at Wealthy Affiliate?
Reading around some posts here at WA, I have noted some of us feeling quite upset about our English not being perfect. Other posts have good recommendations for us on how to improve our English writing skills.
It has happened to me and I am realizing that to some of you it has also happened: How many of us have felt hopeless because English is not our first language?

I’d like to build a motivational post for all of us. If you ever feel upset about your English, or somebody has just told you some ugly things about the way you write, visit this post, and remember that you are not alone. There is a group of us struggling with our English, but that will not stop us from being successful online!

Only once I noticed that someone was upset with my English.
Really everybody is so Kind and helpful, I can't believe it.
However sometimes I feel that English IS THE language and when I say I am working in French, I heard "why don't you write your Website in English, even if it is not your mothertongue ?".
Paper and pen are my favorite. Yes I am doing that all the time.

Building a site in English is quite a challenge. I’ve noticed that writing has become a bit easier after a couple of months working on my site. But I’m still struggling!
I’m happy with what I’ve accomplished up to this point inside Wealthy Affiliate and with my site. I know there is still a lot of work to do. But I love what I’m doing. It makes me excited every time I log into WA or I’m working on my site!
I wish you a lot of success with your site! It’s nice to meet you here at WA!
I speak Italian, Spanish, and English. And I’m trying to learn German and French! There is a certain familiarity between English and German; and also between Italian, Spanish and French, so that might help! :)

English is not a requirement to make money online. I know some people who don't speak English make more money than people who speak English. It's about the ideas, creativity and skills. Everyone can speak any languages we feel comfortable as long as we don't bother people around on the bus or public places.
When my dad was in college, he said the instructor made fun of his English language skills in front of class. He was just trying to share with the class the idea. He was the one who paid for the class and paid for the instructor to answer his question.
In this WA community, we all paid members here. So I think we have the rights to speak up regardless of our language skills.
And I think it's sad that people still make fun of each other because of English language.

I completely understand what you mean and it has been enormously helpful for me. And I also know it will be helpful for all those who are currently struggling with their English skills.
Wealthy Affiliate is a great place and so far, nobody has made fun of my English yet. But, on the internet, well… you know, anything can happen, so I believe we must accept all criticism but not take bad comments to seriously. :)

Anyway, I've read that most readers online love simple texts and don't want to struggle with hard reading! Just be simple and helpful, and everything should be fine:)
I use Grammarly and helps me a lot! Do you use it?

And that is true: we must keep it simple for readers online! And hey, no, I have heard of Grammarly, but I have not used it. But with your recommendation, I have been encouraged to start using it! ... Done! I added Grammarly to my Google Chrome! Thank you! I’m excited to use it! I’ll write a post and see how it works! :D

English is not my first language neither, and sometimes I feel frustrated too wen I cannot express what I want. But, not giving up! I sometimes ask my friends to proofread my messages and they happily help me. Good luck!
