Do you know what a Featured comment means inside Wealthy Affiliate?
Have you ever seen here in Wealthy Affiliate a little green box saying “Featured comment” next to a comment?
What does that mysterious little green box mean? Well, when a comment receives a lot of “Likes” then it becomes a “Featured comment”. Good to know. I have just discovered that!
Jay was telling us at the beginning of a resent webinar (https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/using-woocommerce-for-affiliate-links) How KFC created a sense of mystery with their twitter account. Somebody randomly figured it out and they made a mayor marketing campaign out of the whole thing.
So every time you answer a question or stop by a dear member’s post, do all the best so that that comment becomes a “Featured comment”. :)

Quite a challenge here at WA IMHO... The first like is pretty easy, as most here will give that out of courtesy. Additional likes are much tougher, since many visitors that read the post don't even read most of the comments, and those that do are often a bit stingy with the likes beyond the first one...
That’s true! A comment with a lot of likes generally is a great comment. The first like is easy, but the rest require a high value comment.
I really don’t know how many “Likes” it takes for a comment to become a “Featured comment” :( I owe you that one. You could like this comment to see how many are necessary for that little green box to appear, hahahahahaha. :) .)

Featured comments are those that have received a certain number of "likes" by others, or when Administrators (Kyle or I) set a comment as the "Featured" comment to get it more exposure. Sometimes we see a great answer to a question, or a thorough response and mark it to be featured. This brings the comment to the top!

Featured comments are chosen by us yes, but they are also chosen by the community once they receive a number of "likes". Any comment can receive "likes" and once a threshold is met within a certain time frame, the comment is automatically made "Featured". So, if you like someone's comment, click "like", it'll help get it exposure if others like it as well!
I got it! Both Community and Administrators are responsible of “Featured Comments”. I think it’s a wonderful idea to highlight comments that are a great answer to a question, or a thorough response. Thank you very much!
